I like the way you think! Do you have an extra 750k laying around for that 427 Cobra??

Thought about that. He has had my 90k for 7 months as down-payment on a 140k C8 ZO6, awaiting an allocation. I am #1 on his list. I am at the point of saying maybe a ZO6 is not in my future. Figure I will give him until April and if no allocation then having him cut me a check.
Truly sad...that FPC sound....sigh. Just starting the car would make me smile far more than a 392. I assume you went to Saxe?

Not for a CSX, no. But go with Superformance- brand new, Shelby licensed, price very comparable to a TRX. Or go with a professionally completed Factory Five ?.

No, local dealer who actually sells a fair number of Corvettes. Allocations based on last year's sales of 3LZ cars sold. I have had a deposit with his dealership for 3 years. Yeah, that FPC motor makes wonderful noise at 8500 RPM!!!

No, long story....had a 392, traded it on a TRX, traded the TRX on a still to be allocated ZO6 C8. Local Chevy dealer has 90k of my cash waiting for an allocation. Ordered the 392 on a whim as my first CJ was purple, thus the Reign. Timing was right, made a few bucks on first 392, and on the TRX. Chevy dealer would only give me the ZO6 if I traded the TRX. It left the garage at 250 miles. When I traded 21 392 I thought TRX would be more practical. Wrong! Big, heavy, thirsty and a beast to drive. The 2 door was an even trade for 2 bikes I had. Riding buddy of 50 years died, so gave up 2 wheels. That's the sad story of how I ended up with a 2 door and a 392 sitting on the lot. Ugh.
My neighbor just got back from Bowling Green and being treated like a King, his Z06 C8 is on the way, he did not do Musem Delivery...I did on my Z06 and what a GREAT exp, worth the money!!!

He managed to buy it for $152k and that is a deal.

He a car guy, he just got his 1000 HP Mustang from Ford and he has a C8. mew Jeep and got a 72, 427, 750 HP Chevelle, 4:88 gears, its stripped and acid dipped (to weigh less), his races local guy for money (as if he needs it) he just to blow them off the track.

I would keep the 2 door. But it's hard for me to see someone wanting a 4 door over a 2 door. The 392 is nice, but $30k more (+ $5300 in interest if you take a loan) nicer than your 2 dr Rubicon? Not in my opinion.
Its not necessarily a want be a need. I had a 2dr JK until my daughter was 7 and son 4, so I dealt with not on but 2 car seats in that thing for 7 years, doable but far from ideal. And mine was an 09, didnt even have the tumble forward pass seat those years for whatever dumb reason. 4dr gives me all the jeepiness I need right now while being practical, I'll go back to a 2 dr when the kids go off on their own...

I went the opposite way, I traded my $50k Rubi that got 18mpg for a $44k Toyota Venza Limited Hybrid that gets 35mpg+. My trade difference was around $450 and I get double the gas mileage... I had tons of equity in my Rubi, so my payment went down by a lot and my gas mileage went up... Win/Win for me. :)

Plus, my Venza was Certified, so I got a 100k warranty and I bought a bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers me up to 130k miles and a maintenance plan that pays for all maintenance through 80k miles. All while lowering my payment significantly... And I got every available option on my Venza... The last 4xe Jeep I looked at that I would consider buying was $72k+ and still didn't average 35mpg for my driving style... (I'm putting 3k+ miles on per month currently)

I much prefer the Jeep, but pratically the Venza makes way more sense for me... There's plenty of time left (unless Jesus comes back first or I die unexpectedly) to buy another Rubi. :)

A 2-door Jeep will always be more fun to drive than a big convertible SUV, even if it has a cool V8.

I have 2023 2 door Rubicon which I truly enjoy. And now am faced with the prospect of trading it on the 2023 XR 392 Reign Rubicon which is waiting for me at the dealer. 30k to boot with trade. 2 door is paid for. I really do not want to take funds from the market as they are -30% in the last year. Loan would be 33k at 5.49% for 72 months, which is not an issue. FOMO has me thinking to buy the 392. Practicality and financial common sense does not allow both in the garage. So I ponder. The 2 door is just plain fun to drive. But the 392 calls my name as it maybe the last of a breed. What says the collective???

Beautiful rubi! So here are some factors to consider: 1. Do you need 4 doors? if so, then the 392.
2. Is money a concern? If not, 392 all the way. If it is, then stick with the rubi 2 door, because the 392 is close to measuring gallons per mile rather than MPG.

Both are very capable off road, so that's a wash.

If I was in your situation, I would keep the 2 door. But then again, I tend to keep vehicles a very long time, run the wheels off them, and only rarely purchase different ones. My new Wrangler is only the 3rd vehicle I've purchased in almost 25 years.

I traded my 21 Rubi XR for a 23 392 XR. I liked my old 21, but love, love, love my 23!

I would say go for the 392.. I drive a 3.6 4 door Moab and it does feel underpowered for such a big car. The only issue I would have is the Reign color....not my cup of tea. You could still wrap it in whatever color nowadays...
Your Rubicon looks awesome by the way...

Enjoy your Jeep, the 392 is a unique jeep, but is it really worth going into debt over?
Save the money. you can always put a 392 in yours with modifications that wont cost you 33K plus interest and loss of the time value of money.
Jeeps are a great investment no matter what model you have.
All the best,

Alan
