Never was a plan to get rid of my Deep Ocean Blue Metallic 2019 JLUR (I initially thought, UNLESS they came out with the 392 in my favorite color). BUT will eventually do the AMW 392 conversion and as others have said, it will probably outlive me.

I picked 10-15 years. I figure I put ~36,000 miles on it in the first four years of ownership, so ~9k miles per year… And I have historically gotten at least 100k miles out of most vehicles I drive before trading in… And I like my jeep more than any other vehicle I’ve ever had… And the wife is due to get a new vehicle before me… sooooo… 🤷‍♂️

I guess we’ll see what the JM looks like when it debuts, and how much it will cost. 🤔

The plan is to keep it long term, and Jeep is helping me with that decision by making them look like a Renegade…..The only reason I would get another one is the enjoyment of modifying….

I enjoy working on jeeps as much as wheeling them…I would only consider a new one as long I’m able to switch out the grill…..sorry I just can’t get past it, but that’s my problem no offense intended…….

Wrenching in general has been a lot more enjoyable since I don’t have to do it for food and shelter anymore …🤣

obligatory pic…..one of the rare times it’s clean…….🤣

I had my TJ for 14 years. I suspect I will have this one longer, which will put me at around 65 years old once we get to that point. I may still have my Tundra then, too, which is currently 10 years old.

I chose 10-15 seeing that my JL is already 5 years old. That leaves me 10 which is very optimistic but got to give it a try. The big question is which one of us will be here after 10 years, the JL or me LOL. This will be my last vehicle regardless unless something drastic happens to it. I also understand you can’t drive forever. I have been driving a long time.

I plan on keeping mine until the motor blows. Then put and LS in it and keep until the wheels fall off, then put new wheels on it.

The wife's 2018 is up in the air, we are debating upgrading her screen and wrapping it, but if they release a purple one again we may get her a new one. Hers would stay in the family though and go to one of our daughters. It's gotta a fresh 3.6 at 105k miles and ready to go another 100k.

I am in for the long haul. In my late fifties, do hopefully another 25 to 30 years.

I just dumped a little over $10,000 into putting a new 60 front axle into the jeep and some various other maintenance stuff.

My original goal was to use as a daily for 8 years then keep as a fun summer car. But the reliability of jeeps has me questioning if its worth keeping past that 8 year mark or not.
Yeah, really category 5 in the poll is the same as category 2. Some will be lucky enough to make it into category 3. Unless of course they don't mind spending as much keeping their JL on the road as they paid for it originally. Then the sky's the limit.

I can understand why people like keeping vehicles a long time, but I can't do it myself...every couple of years the new vehicle bug hits....I bought my first new truck in 1977 (been driving since the early 70's)and about every two years I start all over again.....since 1977 I have only bought 4 used vehicles (two low milage subarus and a low milage mazda for my kids and a mid 80's cutlas) It is a habit I think I inherited from my dad as he never kept cars longer than 2 years...I have had 5 wranglers and none have been kept longer than 2 years.....if you really want to talk crazy motorcycles have been even worse for me lol.....bought my first at 12 years old and literally were addicted to them....

Fortunately my daughters have not inherited the new car bug gene...my oldest has had the same 2014 CRV I bought for her new and my youngest the same 2017 Civic I bought for her new..

Forever - I have the Maxcare warranty. I have a 2018 with 140K on it and love every mile. It has been in and out of the svc department and the last time they askes me when I am going to give up and get something new. I tell them they'll have to bury me in it :)
It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when Kramer settles his lawsuit for FREE Coffee for life and they kick him out of the store :CWL:

I am currently shopping a new Wrangler and will give this one to my son - stays in my name of course :like:
