Why is it that no one steals the auxillary battery? ?

Then your suggestion for us with front cameras would be.....? Shame Bolt didn't design a lock to work around them.
I could legitimately say, That's your problem, mate, but the High Road calls, so...

My suggestion would be to first invest 5 seconds to search the subject. ;)

Trust me, spent more time than that. Didn't care for those (any other like it) and honestly, don't think they would be that much harder to pick anyway. I think anything is better than nothing. Anyone with the right tool would get into either rather easily. Just trying to get whomever to move on down to the next car.

I'm not keen on locking hood latches, either, but to be fair, the optic of uparmoring a vehicle (i.e., the aesthetic of add-on locks) should convince at least a few potential thieves to move on to easier pickings. Yes, the motivated thief with the right tool(s) will get through most if not all of our defenses. It's a bit of an arms race.

On a side note, the hood latch on the JL:angry: is not relatively over easy to open compared to most vehicles.

I had something similar to the rugged ridge and changed it out for the Bolt hood lock. Reason being was my friend came over to look at my jeep one day and I forgot to unlock the hood latches and he opened the hood as if nothing was there! Also, there someone on this forum who relocated the front camera a bit lower and was able to install the Bolt hood lock.

Not sure if you need info on Main battery replacement, but if you do read here. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/??-main-battery-replacement-talk-jl-jt.100534/

Be sure to install an H7 battery.

If the Main battery stolen out of your 2018 JL was the factory installed battery, it was due for replacement anyway.... but still the chitts that some dick wad stole it.
Thanks does an h7 battery fit in that tray or do I have to do anything to accommodate it? Thank you for your reply

I also have these (since I have the front camera) very good so far.
And these fit the JL? A lot of people in the reviews and the questions say it's for the JK only even though in the Amazon description it says JL thank you

Yes, no problems. Just be very careful when installing the hardware (with all these locks). Very easy to drop.
