  1. Has anyone installed the Gladiator Sport grille mesh into a JL Sport or Willys grille?

To be honest I can't really say definitively either way. I went off roading last weekend; the fan definitely came on a few times, but I've also added a top mounted winch. It's hard to remember if that's more or less than it used to.
  2. GMRS (antenna) mounting idea -- would this work?

Just found this thread saved in an old tab lol. Good info about the antenna. Did you ever try the ezpass up there?
  3. ROCK HARD 4X4 Front Control arm skids.

Sad to hear about the clunking :\ I've been not paying attention to my Jeep much as of late, but I have a feeling cause of this thread I'm gonna keep putting of the install of these over other projects when I get back on it
  4. Has anyone installed the Gladiator Sport grille mesh into a JL Sport or Willys grille?

To be honest I can't say either way...at some point I added a winch too, so there's a couple variables at play. I do like the look of it better and it wasn't expensive. I suppose another potential option would be to wait for the '24 grille to come out since that also is a lot more open.
  5. 285/75/r17 on stock JL Sport

The nice thing about adding the Rubicon fenders is you can get LEDs with them, so it's a double upgrade. Could do the tires/fenders, then measure exactly how much space you have and go from there (certain springs, spacers, etc.)
  6. ROCK HARD 4X4 Front Control arm skids.

Sad to hear about the clunking on both front and rear. I haven't read through this thread in a long time, was clunking on the rear common? If I recall it was on the front...I haven't actually tried installing mine yet. There were other Jeep and life projects that moved forward in the queue...
  7. 285/75/r17 on stock JL Sport

Realized I miss this in my email, but a belated thanks. Doesn't sound as big of a capability gain for automatics vs manual? Either way a bookmark for later.
  8. Please Help. JLU Rubicon LED Tail Light Guard w/Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement System?

Sorry to hear it didn't work out, but I'm surprised to hear it. I have a late model '21, I can't recall reading that the '22 taillights changed, but I obviously don't keep up with that much. Do you have pictures of what went wrong/what your taillights look like now?
  9. Under $100 gifts for Jeepers

Btw I like the username....I have a similar thing going on with my license plate :D
  10. Please Help. JLU Rubicon LED Tail Light Guard w/Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement System?

I agree on the stick on's; thought about it but not the same. You could always wait until I figure out the bolts I'm gonna add and post it here lol. It's just six tiny bolts so I imagine only a couple dollars -- not the first time I've bought new hardware to replace what a vendor gave me based...
  11. Under $100 gifts for Jeepers

Yep as @Rhinebeck01 mentioned, this holder is for the ECRI Security Gateway Bypass Module, not the ECRI writer: https://ecri.app/products/ecri-security-module-bypass-2018-jeep-ram. He could explain it in more detail (he's the one who gave me the rundown on this), but that piece is what allows...
  12. Please Help. JLU Rubicon LED Tail Light Guard w/Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement System?

If you love the look, it's really not that much work to trim/grind that one spot, especially if you don't experiment as much as I did and follow the lines I ultimately took. Just need a Dremel. If I recall there might be some plastic stick on ones somewhere on Amazon that look similar.
  13. Please Help. JLU Rubicon LED Tail Light Guard w/Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement System?

Wow I'm surprised to hear yours doesn't need any trimming. Every person in my local club, me, other people in this thread, the video I saw on YT, etc. have all had the the exact same issue. Does your tailgate not open as far as ours?? Anyway congrats
  14. Please Help. JLU Rubicon LED Tail Light Guard w/Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement System?

Cool thanks for letting me know. I've had them for about a year and they still undid fine, figured you had them longer. I haven't done that much research yet, but this site makes it sound galvanized steel works better with aluminum than stainless. Or of course, using aluminum screws, since this...
  15. Under $100 gifts for Jeepers

Well just a quick update, the seller saw my post, and graciously sent me a replacement ECRI mount. Didn't even ask for that since it was my own fault and I was in the process of rebuying, so that's pretty awesome. Pays to buy from someone local and cares about their work. Already got it in the...
  16. Please Help. JLU Rubicon LED Tail Light Guard w/Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement System?

For #2, which bolts were these? Are you talking about the 3 bolts that hold the two pieces of the cage together? How long did you have them assembled and on your Jeep?
  17. Please Help. JLU Rubicon LED Tail Light Guard w/Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement System?

Not meant to be an insult to him, but I'd say there's no chance his was fine. It was just probably before he had tested much. In fact it's not my story to tell, but I've seen other posts of his more recently where's he's gotten rid of them entirely due to corrosion on the screws. I've known...
  18. Please Help. JLU Rubicon LED Tail Light Guard w/Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement System?

FYI, the precise issue with these is they touch when you open the tailgate all the way. In fact, a guy at my local club had the wind take his tailgate open, it hit the guard and cracked it. The solution is to cut the parts of the tail light guard off until they no longer touch with the tail...
  19. Rugged Ridge LED light guards.

Yep you just have to cut off the piece of the tail light guard that gets hit.
