Hood locks with key or locking hood

Hi I need to get hood locks for my jeep. My battery was stolen at 4 pm in a crowded parking lot. Looking for something with a key of course that is functional and not going to break or get broken into. Help!!!! Thanks

Be sure to install an H7 battery.

If the Main battery stolen out of your 2018 JL was the factory installed battery, it was due for replacement anyway.... but still the chitts that some dick wad stole it.

I have the Mopar hood lock on my JLR, for the wife’s 4xE it has the factory front camera so won’t take the same lock. I did see one that operates off the remote and uses air pressure to operate the latch.
Both have a Tazer installed and are set so the hood opening while the Jeep is locked triggers the alarm.

The Bolt hood lock is hands down the best but it installs right where the front facing camera would go. If you don't have the camera that's the one you should get.

I have a Bolt hood lock and am very happy with it. It's an easy install and uses the Jeep key.

Having been through numerous hood locks for numerous Jeeps over the decades, Bolt is by far the best one IMHO. For the standard JL grille, it even comes with a replacement center mesh insert with a molded bezel that looks 100% factory. I recently replaced my JL grille with a JT grille, but since they don't offer the same mesh replacement for the JT, I just had to cut it to access the lock. No big deal, still looks good and I really like using the factory key that's already on my fob.

The Bolt hood locks are nice because they key to your door key, so you will always have your hood key with you, if you have your fob with you.
