A "visual deterrent" will not keep a thief away.... or keep him from getting in....

A hood with an alarm .... especially, an alarm the thief is not expecting..... that wakes the neighbor hood.... awakens the owner is what a vehicle owner is far better served by..

Door lock on a house is a deterrent/ visual deterrent and more..... and houses get broken into anyway.... now a house with an alarm system .. well, yes gets broken into, but the break in is met with an audible alarm and more... and usually the theif runs at sound of the alarm..

Give me a hood alarm versus cutesy lockable hood latches or any hood lock device....

Actually good insurance is all that will really partially protect you in regard to thefts..

I'm surprised Tuffy doesn't have any hood locks for the JL. Is there some complication besides the camera that would make it harder than previous generations?

Hood Alarm was added by Joe, as a feature in Feb. 4, 2019 ....with beta firmware 11.07.

Is there no way to move the front camera down a few inches to make both work?

Did you ever determine if the camera can be easily moved down
