It’s not about it being a “Jeep thing” it’s about people trying to buy into a aesthetic or scene without fully considering the conciquences. Ask people like me who have been loyal to the brand since high school. Yea we’ll point out the short comings and where it could be better. But also appreciate the True spirit of the vehicle. Complaining about wind noise is just annoying and kind of shows yr hand...
I get it. My first new vehicle was a TJ. It had 1/2 doors, soft top, 4-cylinder, no AC, and I loved every minute of it. That being said, these orders are sometimes coming in over $50K+ so you'd expect it to not have an annoying whistle coming through the windshield area or the awful buffeting issue. (And especially not bad weld jobs!!!) It's the nature of the beast to have excessive wind noise over the standard SUV...and a rougher ride due to the suspension and Jeep wanting to keep it's off-road capabilities. (Not to mention the awful aerodynamics...but again...it's a Jeep...and that's a Jeep shape). The term, "It's a Jeep thing" gives too many things a pass...and when there are actual issues, they need to be fixed.

Not nearly as annoying as people who can't spell (or be bothered to spell-check). Oh, wait, let me guess, "I was tapping it fast on my phone and blah, blah." Bullshit.

Be a dick and expect us to respond like dicks...

You make a lot of assumptions. I've never owned a vehicle that wasn't a Jeep Wrangler. I would still complain if my $50,000 JLU started whistling at highway speeds. You can't just accept manufacturing deficiencies. This has nothing to do with the road noise you should expect with a jeep.

I don't even have a hard top. Could not care less about this issue.

You're just angry because you can't spell and earn a low wage, so you decided to come here to beat your chest. Maybe you got a new guy or two to think twice about joining a local club, lest they have to encounter guys like you. Good job.

I love it how internet fights always ends up with somebody grammar correcting somebody else hahaha classic.

But for reals though, I've never owned a jeep, I ordered a brand new one, call me whatever you want; wannabe, mall crawler, I don't care. The Jeeps looks epic, but Ive been following this thread and really hoping I dont get this issue...

I've wondered that myself. Surely someone has.

You couldn’t care less but respond like that? I doubt it. Low wage? I’m a chemical engineer in advanced polymer science . Lololol but nice try.

How many jeeps have you owned?

Unfortunately Jeep has no real incentive to greatly improve QC over past wranglers. They will sell as many as they can produce. They have no competition. I guess that’s another “jeep thing”. Maybe the new Bronco will be a wake up call for jeep ONLY if it steals market share.

Got my JLUR (3 Piece Hardtop) last night and drove it around and today took it out to Red Rocks. Got up to 75mph and didn't hear anything that sounded out of the ordinary. Had the radio on volume 10 (w/ Alpine sub), so not very loud, and no noise whatsoever :jk:

This is what I’m talking about, if you ride in a jk for years lifted etc over high altitude passes and wind. The new JL is noticeably quieter and further people who complain about the noise are just being unrealistic.

I hate to say it but I think you’re picking and choosing words. Many are complaining that there’s a noise/leak that is out of the ordinary of what a hardtop should sound like. I hope everyone realizes you should hear wind blowing over the top but you shouldn’t hear a squeaking squealing noise come through the seals.
