Cross winds are the worst and highly noticeable at higher speeds on the highway. Not sure if I went deaf already but I just crank the volume to 15 and I hear nothing.

Yea, but is anyone shocked? I'm not. It's obvious these things aren't exactly luxury machines or built to be titans of road safety. They cost so much because of their off-road capability and open-air driving, not because of outstanding build quality.
I've had worse issues with more expensive, and more quiet vehicles (not including the whistle) (video in this thread).

I finally got around to adjusting the center two freedom top mounts. No whistling anymore and the noise is greatly reduced. After driving it quite a bit more, the wife and I have concluded that the JL is so much quieter inside that the actual wind gusts are more noticeable than they were in the JK. Hence the wind noise problems. My freedom tops are straight and even now. The wind noise isn’t louder on the JL. The JL is just that much quieter than the JK.

The one thing the JK doesn't do is whistle.

And thats great if that is the fix for everyone.
Hopefully so. I don think everyone has the problem but I’m sure there are many different ways to fix whatever the problems are. I’m just glad I took care of mine. It was the only annoying issue I have had with the Jeep. As much as I loved my JK I never thought I would like a Jeep this much more. Especially a 4 door. The 2 doors in my opinion are much better looking but I like the extra room and towing. I’m just in awe at how much more refined this model is. Even on 37’s it’s just like driving it stock. I could never have said that in either of my 2 JK’s or my TJ’s.

I would wager a lot of buffeting/whistling issues could be corrected if people just try readjusting their freedom tops OR, and I know this isn't the most desirable thing for some, just taking the entire hard top off and then putting it back on.

Once you do that, you'll see how there are just tons of little spots with gaskets where the factory could have laid part of the hard top a wrong way or cinched the gasket or something, and even the smallest-seeming mistake could result in what you're hearing.

It's worth a shot!

Can you share exactly what adjustments you made?

Every Jeep has wind noise, but this isn’t the normal “wind noise”.... Dealer can’t figure it out either...see video.... @JeepCares

Have you tried pressing rags into various nooks and crannies around the windshield and door A pillar to see if you can alter the noise and maybe find the source?

I wonder if air is entering through the firewall and up under the dash.

Could this be the infamous "whistle" sounds from the windshield?

That would drive me insane. Best of luck finding a fix.
