Just my observance.. Both my JK’s had wind noise and I sold my 2014 months ahead to maximize resale before buying the JLUR... after my build was done and I picked it up I noticed what seemed like excessive noise. I now have 1000 miles on the Jeep and it’s no different than my buddies JK or what I remembered from mine....I guess if someone has a “whistle” then that’s something different.. after I took the top off, doors off and window down and put it all back together everything seems fine.... not sure if that’s what helped but all is good now....

My 2014 JK makes no wind noise at all zero I drove several to be exact let me think for different Jay L that one made any wind noise and neither does my JK nothing like that that's way too ridiculous. There's something wrong somewhere you don't drive down the road with a whistle like that and say oh it's a Jeep come on really . How come all the ones I drove am I JK made no noise at all nothing there's something wrong with several them and the guys got a point why would you want to spend that kind of money when you know there's something wrong just like they rushed the Springs out and they got problems with the .Springs I know it's a Jeep but they're not supposed to make a whistle noise like that. And you don't know that guy to make a comment like that to him if you don't like what he's saying or talking about move on. Like he said it's his money it has nothing to do with you just cuz you're on a public forum doesn't give you the right to tell someone they should worry about the noise because it's not your money. Look on Facebook and look up Scott blum he's on the JL Facebook page he works for Wrangler high up he'll tell you is there something wrong with that or not he usually gives good opinions on Wrangler. Ke works for them in Michigan

My Rubicon is much quieter than I expected coming from a quiet sedan. had not been on an extended trip, but 1 hour or so at 70 mph and no issues for me and my ears are sensitive. I do have the roof liners (came with it) not sure if they make much difference.

As one of the early posters to this thread describing the whistling I hear as I approach 50+ MPH, I can't help but get more and more irritated as I read all of us try to deduce what the problem can be and how we can possibly fix it. Meanwhile, several have posted that they have taken their Jeep into the dealer and the dealer says there is no problem. It blows my mind. Whatever the issue is, is clearly prevalent among the new Jeeps.

Does anybody know or heard if Jeep has yet to recognize this as an issue and if they are possibly working on a solution? I love everything about my new Jeep, but it is so infuriating to hear a non-stop high pitch whistle when driving on the highway.

I cannot believe they say there's no problem that's not freaking normal did it do it when you first got it I would have took it back and said I'm not picking it back up and I would have test drove it before I signed the papers but I'm guessing it didn't start it until after you had it a couple days I don't know

Its pretty crazy. I have test driven two and both had the same noise on very windy days. I will test drive one on a calm day and just see if its a cross wind that was causing it.

Until now this is the first time I've heard anybody talk about this. There seems to be quite a few. The people I know that have the JL have not complained about this I wonder if it's a lot or just a few Jeeps till this

They are trying to get the tops straight on the 2 door doors now, they are doing "water profiling on the tops to try to get soft tops on with no leaks and whistling.

You might want to check to see how much re-welding they did on your frame, hopefully by now on 4 doors they only have to weld them once.

I've made adjustments to the windshield, but I still have buffering pretty bad over 55mph.

Wow 36 pages of owners complaining about this issue and I am surprised Jeep has not formally responded to this topic.

I feel like this is a hotter topic than the off road pages being missing as it makes the driving almost unbearable on freeways.

I agree this is not something normal you live with just because you have a Jeep LOL what a joke for someone to say that it's JK didn't do it the JL shouldn't do it the JL should be that much better than the JK

Talked to a friend at Jeep. There is an issue and Jeep knows it. Here are the screen shots he sent me. I'm dropping mine off on Friday. I'll be gone for 10 days on vacation so that should give them plenty of time.
