I’m looking to purchase the gatekeeper steering knuckle light brackets. Was wondering how people have liked/disliked them and what lights you are running on them. Also how do they work with the Reid knuckles? Looking to get them in the future.

Currently stock jlr but have a 2” spacer lift and 37” tires going on in spring.

Thanks

I don't have them but it was a consideration. I just bolted up the bracket from Baja Designs to the knuckle
If you go on to Extreamterrain.com they have they there AND they also have a open box listed below the new selling price. You have to call them to get the open box stuff but they will sometimes give you more of a description or even a discount

Thanks I originally seen them in extreme terrain and that was got me thinking about them, sadly the open box is for only one bracket but a good deal if you can find the other side too.

I have a buddy using the Gatekeeper knuckle mounts in conjunction with some KC Flex Era1s.
He's got a TF 2.5” lift with 37”s on his Rubi and has had no problems I’m aware of.
The mounts are beefy and very well designed.

All second hand info, I know. But I’ve seen them and I’ll probably get them myself once my other projects are wrapped up.

Thanks this is helpful, trying to decide what lights to go with if I decide to get them, would like a set that can be either amber for bad weather or white for normal without having to add a lense to it.

Yeah I seen that also it kinda looks from the pics they are for the same side unfortunately but when I get home I might look into it more, plus gatekeeper has them on sale for 109.99 at the moment.

I’ll add Gatekeeper is a small business. Buy from them and you’re literally putting food on their table.

I have a set of Baja Design S2 Sport Wide cornering amber that are going on soon on 54-7815
They have a few different light patterns available
Here is where the bracket is mounted for now, I might find a better home for it
I do like the brackets because the light follows the direction that you are turning

I was planning to order direct from them they have there own lights they show fit what I’m looking for and they have a 70% off thing now for them but it seems a lot of the reviews on there website for them and some other older lights they had are not good, being the light was dead within a month or so.

Interesting approach and resourceful wonder was there a hole there already to bolt to and does the bracket/bolt that goes in to side of the light hit the coil spring? What about with movement

I just looked on the site and they have an additional 5% off which I may consider getting a set

Yeah I seen that too, leaning more and more towards them just trying to see some more opinions/reviews of them or if there any downside with them.

The bolt that is there is for the brake line hold down and it stay straight, no turning at all.The other option would be for a set of these and mount them on the straightest part of the tie rod but then your lights would be the lowest and take some abuse. And no coil spring contact at all

I love the concept of these, I had turning headlights on an old BMW and it was helpful.
Full disclosure, I tried fabbing up my own out of sheet metal but it was too “springy” and rubbed the driver tire. Took a lot of time, too. Should’ve just ordered the gatekeeper but I was trying to make one that set the light lower and wouldn’t be blocked by the bumper?
