Can you run a tube in a tubeless tire?
That was very common for many years after the tubeless tires became the norm. I recall my father having a shop do that in the early 60s. There is something in the vehicle code (in CA and I imagine it's in many states) about not allowing it in certain types of tires or conditions. I stumbled on it looking around for beadlock laws, but didn't read it thoroughly.

I'd grab a used one 33 or bigger to mount up as a spare. No beadlock. Just drive out like you did and run home on the little one in 2wd keeping your speed down. I doubt you will find any corporate tire shop that will repair that tire with any of the methods suggested. If you do a DIY, I'd tube it with a sidewall patch.

I might if they weren’t $500+ at the moment. Supply chain is bonkers.
Somebody has to have a bald 37 laying around. But yeah, playing means paying.

I’ll be alright, I’ve got the factory 35s I could mount one up for emergencies. I’m just putting feelers out to see if anyone comes across one by chance.

I just gave away two Cooper STT PRO 37x12.5R17 tires yesterday. They were off one of my buds Jeeps and low on tread with about 56,000 miles on them with a 4 tire rotation. They were perfect for a spare.

We are close to 250,000 miles on the Jeeps that I wheel with that have Cooper STT PRO tires. We wheel all over the US in all types of terrain. Zero flats, zero balancing issues, zero weird wear. they might not be the quietest tire but we have had good luck with them. I took off my first set with 54,000 miles on them and was still able to sell them for $450. I think I could have easily gone past 60,000 miles on them.

Yeah that was my only complaint with the Cooper STT Pro. LOUD AS HE11! Otherwise they seemed to be a decent tire. I like that they give the option for white letters too.

Hit up some of the used tire shops. They usually have something laying around.. Probably cost ya less than $100. Who cares what it is. Just a spare to get you off the trail if you happen to need it.

Good luck finding some Yok's. I've been looking for some sets for Class 8 equipment and there is nothing in stock across Canada, hasn't been for 4 months, and no one knows when they will get stock.

Hit a bone yard, used tire store, pick up anything in a 37, don’t be picky, it just a means to an end. I’m currently packing a fixed sidewall for a spare. I ran the shit out of it after I fixed it, just to be sure. I was able to plug mine because of the location in the side biter……..
