I'm late to this thread but I'll add my thought / method of madness. I keep multiple fire extinguishers in my Jeeps. In my JT I've got ABC dry chemical, Halguard, 2 automatic (mounted in compartment with LiPo battery) and elements on floor by driver and passenger seats. I hope to never need to use on my stuff. S### happens, I've had to use a few on others vehicles, grass fires and like. I'm laying in bed typing this out and within 10 ft of me is 3 fire extinguishers, and 2 big boxes of baking soda about 16 ft away. FYI the latter is what is in some fire extinguishers as dry chemical. I kinda think the Elements ones were /are hype unless you can shove it into a enclosed compartment that has a fire.

I'm spending a lot of time considering design features for the mount and I'm about settled on the features. It will easily be retained to 40g and still have easy/quick release. Having a fire extinguisher smacking you in the head would pretty much ruin your day.
