Easy fix if you secure correctly. If not it will kill whose ever head it goes through.
That's a very good point.

Unfortunately, far too many people just use a cheap $10-20 velcro mount attached to their roll bars because they don't want to spend $50 or more for a proper fire extinguisher mount.

Even if the vehicle is done, you still need to put it out on the trail before it spreads if possible.
Why would you roll it under the vehicle?

I have been trained in using them and have used them, - I see the Element as a very limited application. If anything, I would carry both.
i figured if the fire is that intense that you can't get near it the Element extinguisher makes a pretty large cloud of carbon dioxide maybe from 10 feet away you roll it under the vehicle and hope that large cloud puts out the fire.
like i said earlier if the fire is so intense that you can't approach the vehicle then the car/Jeep is probably a lost cause anyway.

I finally got my Element 50 fire extinguisher mounted this afternoon. I had to wait for the Rugged Ridge Flashlight holder clips (#11238.06) to arrive from Amazon.

The Element 50 came with one plastic mounting clip, but I wanted to use two metal clips just to make sure it doesn't come loose.

The Rugged Ridge clips were a little big for the Element 50 as they're meant to hold a 1.5" diameter D Cell Maglite, but a few whacks with a rubber mallet made them the perfect size ;)

Nice job mounting it Steve. That’s pretty smart too. The reason why I say that is mine is in the back of the Jeep in the storage area. If I ever get run into bad enough to start a fire there’s a high probability that I won’t be able to open the tailgate which of course makes the extinguisher useless.
I will rethink the mounting area.
The one in my work truck is an easy grab and the one for the house fits right in the “junk drawer”.
Thanks again for the recommendation buddy!

Jeep Wrangler JL Fire Extinguisher Recommendations? 38E56BA6-BF01-44C1-950A-C596342ACD0B

Thanks Steve :)

I wanted the extinguisher mounted somewhere that was within easy reach from either the front or rear seats, so this seemed like a good option.

Element Fire also sells a nice Seat Rail Mount that runs about $60.00, but I've also just seen someone in another thread had mounted their E50 to the sill between the seat and door with some Velcro.

I have Sky One so the roof is out for me but there's plenty of roll bar. I'm going to look into the mount now.
Stay safe pal.
