My wife sent me a pic of a white JLUS that caught fire at a Walmart in northeast North Carolina the other day. I can't upload the image from where I am. She said it started at the passenger side and the engine area was very much melted. The driver side bumper was intact enough to tell it was not a Sahara or Rubi. From what they could find out, the family had just parked and was on the way in when it caught fire. They managed to get their car 2 seats out. The kids were very small/young. No one was hurt.
What are all the known issues that is causing this? I read a lot about the 2.0T, and it seems that was resolved....unless this was one that didn't get the recall/replace. Never got a resolution on the Spicy Mojito posted about back in August. That one was a 3.6 manual JLUR (I believe)
