Is your dealer providing a warranty that can be use at any dealer or just them? Do they have to do all the pm services or its void? I would get the details to see how it compares

So here’s a question, if my dealer already includes a free lifetime powertrain warranty would it be completely pointless to buy the lifetime max care warranty for the $2600-$2700?
I am planning to buy the FCA Warranty and here is why. First year of the vehicle with LOTS of engineering changes. It can be used at ANY dealer nationwide. It's FCA, not your local dealer that's backing it. It's bumper to bumper, so all electronics, steering, etc. are included and there are more computers and complex systems in the current lineup than ever before. You can burn through $2700 on a repair amazing quick on a new vehicle.

It also depends on how long you keep a car. I keep them a long time, This is the "replacement" for a 2003 Suburban which I'm not actually getting rid of, so to still have coverage on a vehicle that old would be awesome.

EDIT: As a side note, depending on what type of modifications you plan to do to your rig, this may not be a good idea. FCA can choose to invalidate your Maxcare if they determine the mods to be outside the acceptable parameters of manufacturer recommendations.

Maybe stupid questions, but will the deductible kick in after the factory warranty expires after 36/36000 or do you have to pay that deductible from the moment you purchased that plan (looking for the lifetime with 100 deductible)
Don't want to pay any cost while the vehicle is still in factory warranty

Yes that's one of the benefits. I'm going in for 5k oil change and cruise recall this upcoming week and they offered up rental car no questions asked .

I also asked about deductible and said when that's in effect it's per visit not per item needing repair . So I take that as if I wait for one problem till I have say two problems I won't pay more then my stated deductible. But not expecting multiple problems but if it comes up or is something really minor I'll just wait.

Tom. He was great to work with. When I picked up my JL, gave the dealer option to meet his price but they noted that his price was $300 below their costs. Said, thanks no thanks and about a week later sealed the deal with Tom.

Deductible is per visit not per problem? What? How is that a good thing?
It’s common for issues to take 3-4 trips to a dealer, especially an incompetent one.
If they’re gonna charge per visit that’s highway robbery.

Just had a Main Computer and ignition go out, paid my deductible
week later all the esc and abs lights came on, took it back and they had to replace an ABS computer too
no additional deductible

More like the above sorry, by visit I meant have two problems, pay your deductible just once. Agree, sometimes they can't fix it right the first time so I would expect and fight to NOT pay deductible again.

I'm guessing those repairs likely paid for the extended warranty - yikes.

Yep, I also blew out the drive shaft connector once, so between the two repairs the warranty has covered almost 4.5K in repairs all in.
Not a fan of service plans mostly, I work in consumer service for household goods. But on modern vehicles with all this electronic wizardry, it is a no brainer

I received an email offer today from a subsidiary of CR Motors. They were advertising a sale on extended warranties and the Maxxcare Lifetime Warranty was listed at $2499. But when I called to confirm I was told that was for a $500 deductible, something FCA just came out with.

It appears the $2665 $100 deductible warranty from Tom Winkels at Hayes Motors is still the best deal!

FWIW - I purchased a "Route 66" warranty on my wife's last BMW - if I were to purchase another warranty, I would likely go the same route again. Outstanding coverage and incredibly easy to work with.

We used the Warranty multiple times, once for a repair that was $16,000 (yes, that comma is in the right place and there are 3 zeros in there!). There were no issues with claims, and we never had to lift a finger - just told the dealer we had the warranty, and they knew to call Route 66 - and Route 66 approved the dealer directly without us having to send info, get on the call, pester anyone, or anything.

We went with the "Easy Street" option (their top of the line option). I cannot remember the pricing, but it might be worth looking into for anyone considering a warranty - I believe it was significantly cheaper than the numbers being quoted here, but I can't remember for certain.

https://www.paynecountybank.com/route66.php

I'm not affiliated with Route 66 and it's been a few years since we purchased the warranty - so definitely do a bit of research, look in to the price, etc.

Just wanted to share the info in case it helps anyone out.

3yr/36k mile -- no rental coverage, no deductible
2yr Jeep Wave -- 1st day rental coverage for maintenance and warranty repair, no deductible
Lifetime -- 1st day rental coverage for maintenance and warranty repair; deductible
Non-mechanical benefits like first day rental, rental allowance, roadside assistance, towing allowance and trip interruption benefits expire at 7 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first

At least for the first 2 years you do not have to pay a deductable to get a rentalthanks to the Jeep Wave Program. During Year 3 you would have to pay the deductible in order to get rental coverage.

I have the Lifetime Max Care on my '07 Dodge Charger (bought in Sept 2006). It has easily paid for itself over the last 11 years that I have had the service contract. My engine had to be rebuilt last July. The only problem is that as the vehicle ages, it takes longer and longer to get some parts. Needless to say I was without my vehicle from July until the end of September.
