Jack up one tire slightly off the ground. put it in drive and inch forward. If only the tire in the air spins the lockers are not engaged. If the locker is engaged you slowly roll off the jack.
Most likely it is a faulty locker but I would be sure before driving it much more.
Anyone has their steering box replaced while being over the 36k factory warranty.
We're at 43k but had issues before the warranty expired so wondering if they are about to give us a hard time over it.
Especially since this fix didn't exist earlier.
Had the same issue, installed the Zautomotive cable today and issue is gone. If you're still in warranty and didn't regear the dealer will swap your axle, otherwise the cable is the best fix until a new sensor becomes available
Installed the Zautomotive cable today and the issue is gone, so faulty sensor it is. Hope one day there will be a replacement sensor available so I can revert back to the factory option.
Tell them already it is not the actuator like they think but the sensor
And since they don't have the sensor the only option they have is swapping your axle like many before you
Hope this saves you the long waiting process
They replace the actuator but that doesn't seem to be the problem for most. The actuator is the magnet that engages your locker, but my lockers are working fine. it is the sensor that is reading the position that is faulty
Really hope for you it fixed the problem but don;t get your hopes up, a...
We had our second oil leak at the rear main seal starting last week, have an appointment scheduled next week, Curious what the battle will look like this time since last time they gave us a hard time and it took forever to have it fixed under warranty
We had the problem showing up last week on the rear, since we're regearded and not much is stock anymore I dind't bother taking it to the dealer and ordered the cable, should arrive by Friday so fingers crossed it works
Just hard to imagine that there's no aftermarket/OEM sensor available, they...
Thanks for the idea, was wondering how to put my tent on in a fast way, and this looks perfect.
Those channels are very strong so I woudn't be worried about them bending, I would use more than 4 points, maybe do three rows of bolts
Having similar leak, only dealer is refusing warranty since they see mud under the car and claims that is causing the seal to leak.
After two trips to the dealer (first time they resealed the oil pan instead of actually looking for the leak) they now say you can't drive a rubicon through mud.
