If they told me that line about having to get service done where I bought the plan, I would laugh in their face. It's a lifetime warranty, what happens if you move, you know... In your lifetime.

Today when i picked up my ordered JLU Sahara the finance guy got his extended paperwork out. I stopped him and said i wanted the lifetime warranty if he would match the $2745 price. He asked me to show him the post from here. He then said “well you’re going to buy it from him or me, I’ll match it.” And he did!!!

Is lifetime warranty pricing really insensitive to the vehicle sub-model & options?

As I would have thought the pricing for a base sport for example, would likely be less than a maxed out rubicon with all the electronic and mechanical bells and whistles, for obvious reasons?

I went to this site and got a quote of $2610 for a lifetime warranty for my JL. Does anyone know what is the difference between this warranty and the one that Tom sells for $2745?

This is from one of these warranty scam places trust me this is a bunch of bogus crap it is not an actual warrantee from Chrysler we dealt with one of these companies on our Tahoe it’s the biggest scam and once you call them they will not stop calling you

The address located at the bottom of the site is the same address as C.R. Motor Sales https://www.crmotor.net. Looks like its an actual dealership and are listed on Jeep.com website as a dealer in that area. I would think they are legit warranties, and maybe call the dealership number and talk to them about the warranty and buy directly from the dealership.

Note that Tom's is for a $100 deductible, the chryslerwarrantydirect.com warranty first lists a $200 deductible on their site. Underneath that section is the $100 deductible plans, lifetime is $2945

Just found this under the "About Us" tab:

Chrysler Warranty Direct was started to help current owners of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram brand vehicles find the right extended warranty coverage at the absolute lowest cost without compromising quality. This site is a division of C.R. Motor Sales Inc. a factory authorized Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealer founded in 1944.

Forgive me if this was covered before, what are the reasons for getting the extended warranty at purchase? I can see maybe if you are financing it, but if you were paying cash I would think you could just buy it anytime in the first three years.

Not 100% sure, but my understanding is that your rate will change after 12k miles. Not sure why it would matter if youre within the 3 year original warranty, but on the online options there is a selection for above/below 12k miles, and I think ive read it on here before from people talking to Tom.

It is a little known tragic truth, but the vast majority of Lifetime Warranties or Guarantees that you can get will send out a Hit Man to "terminate" your "policy" if you ever make a claim on it. I never buy anything with a lifetime warranty for just this reason.

Too much and doesnt cover enough.
So is the lifetime max care a bumper to bumper? Or Only a powertrain? My dealer includes a free lifetime powertrain warranty, I was thinking about getting the maxcare because I thought it was bumper to bumper.

The cost of these go up a little each year. That would be the primary reason. I want to say that it happens around April of each year. Also, Chrysler is one of few, if not the only manufacturer, that offers a lifetime warranty. They could decide not to offer it in the future. Obviously, there will still be other options, but that would be a couple of reasons not to wait.

So here’s a question, if my dealer already includes a free lifetime powertrain warranty would it be completely pointless to buy the lifetime max care warranty for the $2600-$2700?

I should be taking delivery tomorrow or Tuesday and if I have to pay like as if I didn’t have any lifetime warranty coverage for it, kind of seems a little pointless to get maxcare.
