Well when they first started with this thing I told them if they want a test mule I got the rig! And to answer the question if I’m still enjoying it I can tell you this. I have a few vehicles that basically get tucked away in October until the snow and salt is gone here in Indiana. The Jeep is one of them. I have been driving it almost daily since I installed it…….probably put close to 600 miles on it. It’s killing me with the snow and salt all over it but I’m loving driving it.
i don’t want to be too forward but your opinions are your own and not influenced by a free trial?

Well, I’m a pretty picky person and it takes a s#$t ton to impress me. I screwed around with this Jeep for well over a year and was at the point I was going to sell it because I hated driving it. I don’t need a free trial for anything, I’m at the point I can do what I want when I want and other than listening to the wife complaining about it buy what I want when I want it. The EC I have isn’t even the final production model, its one that they were testing with in the early stages from what I was told. It doesn’t have the same pressure, it doesn’t have the boot over the shafts, it’s a two piece shaft and I guess the production units are one piece.

I am waiting to hear some more feedback on the higher pressure units and once I do I will decide what pressure I want and I have zero issues buying the production unit. Sending me a older stabilizer to try on my Jeep isn’t going to get me to drive it in the snow and salt. The Jeep should be sitting in my heated shop with the 5 other vehicles that don’t see any weather other than sunny and 70. The Jeep isn’t my daily and I have a few daily drivers I can choose from and I still have been driving it just about daily.

I’m absolutely not going to tear up my Jeep because someone sent me a used steering stabilizer, I have been driving it because I enjoy driving it again.

Awesome to hear. I wasn’t trying to insinuate anything, it’s just something that’s been exhausting to see like all the superficial love for milestars. Glad to hear it though, I think I’m going to have to get one as well!

I get it, and honestly it’s one of the reasons I typically DON’T do any type of reviews on anything. People always think somehow it’s a catch. I’m pretty impressed with this. I think there are some improvements that can be made but that’s me being incredibly picky again. The way it sits I think it’s a solid setup

There are also some reviews by people who paid full price for it in the main Exact Center thread - https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...is-a-steering-stabilizer-new-for-jeeps.84839/

I am similar to Jeep&dogs on this topic. You are going to hear the good, the bad and the ugly feedback if something was free, paid, or even if you put a $100 bill in the box along with the product. If someone were to send me something for free and I didn’t like it, I’d say “no comment” unless they insisted on a public review.

Check out the main Exact center thread. @Roky has updates with the higher pressure units. Maybe they can send you one out to test.

I want 100% of your take on this good or bad. If you hate it tell us why, if you like something tell us what. We expect nothing except a honest review.

I believe in the idea of what we are doing 100%, but I know if a Fox or Falcon took the idea and used their knowledge to change valving, gas, stroke, size etc. It would be better.
There is a deal to be made for those players and others, I came up with the idea 22 years ago, I made it great 5 years ago. I am a Ironworker first a inventor 2nd , we need the engineers who have brought all the previous gas powered stabilizers at Fox and Falcon and others to understand this, they will see the value and when they do you will be able to buy a even better EC. Right now it is a lot better than other options (my opinion) but it could be lots better than it is.

Check out the main Exact center thread. @Roky has updates with the higher pressure units. Maybe they can send you one out to test.
Here is the deal, Anyone who has a Exact Center purchased or given a test unit we will give you a new one with the higher pressure. You may be limited to two choices first the lower pressure is not decided yet I think it will be 100lbs Roky does like the 110 lb I gave him a lot. We want some one who has DW when they installed the 66 lb base unit tell us they cannot get there JL to DW
upper pressure has been confirmed by ROKY and myself as being very good at 130lbs
If 100 works it is very good on just about all JL even mods and 130 gives a bit more resistance some users want to feel, but still is very mild. zif you like the way new full size SUV's drive you eith pressure will make you happy.

I think the problem is that you are are claiming this fixes death wobble. I believe most here understand that the problem with death wobble is not something that originates at the stabilizer, but elsewhere.... and that should be fixed no matter if it is masked or not by a stabilizer. I think if you just market it as a superior stabilizer that helps reduce road feedback you might have more buy in.

John, can I send my uninstalled stabilizer to you guys for a higher pressure one? I haven’t found out for sure but I imagine it’s the #75.

So I want to start with in the 35+ years I have been playing with modified cars, trucks, and Jeeps,I have probably made 3-4 reviews on things. A little bit of background on myself, I have been doing high end collision and restoration work for 30+ years. I have been building high end drag cars on the side for 15-20 years.

I have built a few 4000+ HP outlaw drag cars, countless street cars, and quite a few Jeeps over the years. My current JLUR has had a shimmy in the steering since I did the lift well over a year ago and 15,000 miles ago. I have had several posts on here over the last year on things I have done to try to fix it. I have probably spent 10k chasing it.

I have replaced the following trying to correct it.
Springs x2
Shocks x3
Ball joints x3
Steering knuckles
Hub bearings
Wheels and tires x3
Steering tie rods x2
Track bars x2
Steering gear box x3
Track bar braces x2
Steering stabilizer x3

Not to mention changing alignment specs a million times

I did the new stabilizer last night and took it for a quick ride, I was somewhat happy with it. Today I made a few more adjustments on it and I actually ended up driving it about 130 miles today. After getting it out on the highway and the typical roads that I know would duplicate the shimmy I had I can say this is the best it has driven since I have lifted it.

There was probably a 25-30 mph crosswind on one of the 4 lane open roads out here. It’s pretty much all open corn fields so it really has nothing to block the road from the wind. At 70 I could take my hands off the wheel and the Jeep would stay in its lane for as long as I wanted. I shot a video but I need to figure out how to post it. ?

The more I drive it the more impressed I am with it. I really like the size, I didn’t realize it until I pulled it off to install this but my Fox was actually hitting in a few places on full travel of the suspension. This thing is 1/2 the size in diameter and easily clears everything. The wheel return is excellent.

If I could change anything I would give it a little firmer hold on center, and possibly a little firmer through the travel but a firmer center hold might be all that’s needed. Keep in mind I am VERY picky on the way my vehicles drive and handle, I have had several people drive my Jeep and never noticed the shimmy I have been chasing, so there’s that.

It takes a bit to make sure it’s centered, once it is it’s worth the effort. I don’t think I will be putting the Fox ATS back on anytime soon.

Again I’m not really big on reviews and I feel like I’m kinda rambling but I really do think this setup is completely different from anything out there and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this on the Jeeps at some point from the factory.
You will get a new unit if you want it and after you are up and running we could use your old units.
You said

The 110lbs EC will give just what you are asking for. You have maybe 80-82lbs. You are going up close to 30. On my JLUR 392 XR, I was amazed, I too had 82 lbs I said I do not see any way anything could be better. Well then I tried 110lbs and I was amazed, you should get the 110 EC, I cannot wait to see your review of your 110 EC.

I tried a similar system on my motorhome. Hated it. In a perfect world the wheel would be straight but you never drive with your wheels straight so you’re always fighting that mechanism. Pay attention when you’re driving how many times you really have the wheel straight. Driving through the wind , if theres a crown of the road felt like I was not only fighting the road but also the pressure of steering stabilizer fighting against me.
Just my opinion.
