I think the 2.0 is great, but I'm not entirely sold on the Etorque system, yet. I do see some benefits to it but to me, it's a complicated system which CAN lead to more failure points. All batteries have a lifespan, so at some point the 48v will have to be replaced and it probably won't be cheap, whether it last longer than the warranty or not has yet to be seen. I thought someone on here found the battery part number and said it was estimated to cost upwards of $1500. You probably aren't saving enough in wear and tear (maintenance) and fuel economy to cover the extra maintenance to service, repair or replacement cost on the Etorque system. There is also the concern for potential damage to the battery when offroading, not that I plan on doing anything extreme enough to puncture the battery through the skid but it's always a concern and you never fully know what you're going to encounter on the trails. And now you have to worry about a separate colling system for the battery. Is this going to go leave someone stranded in the middle of nowhere if you lose coolant? But these are my thoughts. The 3.6 has been a pretty proven engine for FCA so I shouldn't have to worry about it which is why I ordered one.
If they offered the 2.0 turbo without the Etorque system I probably would have jumped on it instead.
