How bad are Wranglers really? You hear or read all of the QC issues, the warranty issues, etc. We know that he dealer service departments are hit and miss, but that's not in Jeep's control, as dealers are independent franchises.

Anyway, If a manufacturer sells everything it produces and the used models retain the highest percentage of value on the market, how bad are Wranglers? I've known this all along. Jeeps are pretty damn good.

Article is skewed. The leaf came (still comes?) with $7,500-$10,000 in tax breaks. Second hand consumers know this which alone depreciates the car 20-30% on day 1. And depreciation depends on more than just model, the options the specific vehicle has can affect it too.

Part of what supports high resale value is scarcity. Prior to 2016, Jeep was averaging mid-100k Wranglers per year. They had since increased production capacity into the mid 200k vehicles per year (albeit supply constrained at the moment with parts shortages). It will be insteresting to see if resale value holds in the next few years as the market becomes flooded with more new Wranglers than it historically had been asked to absorb.
