EV charging action plan, Canada announced something similar around the same time, and it's a similar failure.

No way we see an electric wrangler before solide state batteries… the range would be abysmal. I get 30-35 km from the same battery pack as my neighbors rav4 and he gets 65 km. Do the math.

My father in law just bought a new Volvo high bred and said he charges the vehicle at night when the electricity rates are lower; but even at the lower rate gas prices here in California would have to drop to $3 a gallon to break even. Just wait and see what the cost of electricity will be when you have a million cars on a charger. In Beijing China to solve the problem (I have visited there many time) you can only drive your vehicle every other day. Coming to a city near you and soon!
