Is this crazy or reasonable?
You don’t need to remove the axel. That just makes it a bit “easier” to access the work area.It looks like a giant PITA. Axle has to be removed, rotor and caliper removed etc. I get the parts are cheap but I wonder how bad I'm getting gouged on labor.
Even at almost 80 years of living and over 60 years of driving cars, truck, some has FINALLY worn out the E brake????????? How did you manage that. I have never worn one out and had cars I have driven for 169k miles. It looks like a giant PITA. Thanks, it does see high. That is way above my pay grade and time availability however. I'd like to shop it around but I have a trip this Friday and I doub't that I can find someone to do it in time.It depends on if you want to spend a few hours on the work. $900 seems high in my opinion and I'd probably do it myself.
That's fair, with the trip coming up and time not being on your side, the shop is probably the way to go.Thanks, it does see high. That is way above my pay grade and time availability however. Oh... right.I GOT IT NOW. I am just a ROCK CRAWLER what would I know...
