Want to take off my doors but raining like crazy here in OK.
I don't have much in my Jeep and have done the locking ammo cans on the tailgate but do y'all worry about other things being stolen like fire extinguisher, shovels, etc?
Thieves don't don't typically steal stuff that require work. Just how much do you think a shovel is worth on the black market or a fire extinguisher?

I may need to look in to some of these tuffy or slipstream options as i’ve been super paranoid about leaving anything in my open Jeep. I don’t live in a bad area, but don’t want to create temptation or opportunity for someone to steal anything.

You’d be surprised Ted. Here in the city they’ll take anything.
I’m a plumber for a medical chain, if the doctor steps out of the exam rooms they steal gloves, paper towels, aerators and sometimes even handles off of faucets.
In the main hospital we had to install push button plates to flush the toilets because some dude came in off the street with a backpack, shut the water supply and stole all of the flushometers.
As far as my Jeep, I’ve had my air caps on my tires stolen.
Welcome to the jungle......

I also don’t keep valuables in the Jeep. I went food shopping with tube doors recently. It occurred to me when I was on line to pay that it would be nothing for someone to unlatch and just pull up $500 dollars worth of tube doors. I was in a panic to finish up and get to my Jeep.
Thank God they were there but the thought made me purchase these off of Amazon.
It’s annoying to have to live like this but let these mutts work for it if they wanna steal it.

Dude. Those guys are magicians. Friend of my dad raised an orphaned coon and there was almost nowhere she couldn't get into. Her name was Wicked Wanda and she frequently messed with his 2 brilliant hunting dogs and made them look like idiots. She would come barreling into the kitchen and bat them both on the head before jumping in a drawer and pulling it closed. It was hilarious.
Our newest cat can climb the ladder to get into mud daughters bunk bed and we found her laying down on the top step of an 8 foot ladder once, but she can't climb a 5 foot wall. She can also open a dresser drawer while standing on a lower drawer and then climb in to have a snooze.

One thing I love about Warn doors is that they lock. I ordered fronts and rears together so they were keyed alike.

I have the Slipstream security enclosure (like a locked trunk) so anything of value or documents is locked in there

Note: do not lock your glove box or center console they will just pry open and damage them better to not have valuable in them and leave unlocked.

Gary, is a turantula valuable, I mean aside from it helping you to protect those seeking access to your glovebox or center console by occupying space there? ;)

FWIW, this guy seems to be starting up his business. He was discussed on the forum months ago, but--to no discredit on his part--I think he was prevented from releasing product due to COVID. I cannot speak to price or quality and the maker's reputation but I thought I 'd just throw this out there again.

I think it might not be cheap..I think it was mentioned being somewhere in the $400 -$600 range. It is innovative though:

Would buy one for the 2 Door, that works with the rear seats in place, in a heartbeat.

I have a soft top so I naturally never bring or leave anything of value in my Jeep. I also usually leave it unlocked.
Yes, typically there is nothing that you might leave in the Jeep that will cost more than replacing cut windows. So just leaving it unlocked is an option. I don't though. I set the alarm and hope that the blinking alarm light is a deterrant.

I would too, but not if it's going to come in at $400-$600 US ($550-$800 Canadian).

I was hoping for something a little closer to the price of either the Tuffy Security Enclosure or Bestop Instatrunk for the 2 door JK which were about $250 US.

i'm still working out how that little bugger kept getting in and out...
