I have door hangers I'm wanting to put up in my garage but only able to use 1 bolt when screwing the door hangers into a stud because of spacing.

Would bolting a 2x4 into studs on the wall be the best way to be able to secure the door hangers with both bolts that they came with?

Double checking to make sure it should hold the doors. Don't want to F up the doors.

Hangers are like these below.

That’s what I would do if I couldn’t use both bolts directly into a stud for each holder.

You could also simply drill another hole or two in the hangers themselves, in line with the studs in question.

This will accommodate anchoring each hanger to its stud with several lags, for the required strength.

I added a piece of 1X to give me more anchors to the wall and then screwed the brackets into those.

This is what I did for anyone searching that comes across this thread. I had the 2x4 scrap laying around the house so this cost me less than $10 and works perfectly.

I took some 2x4 and made a rail then used small pieces of 2x4 and plywood to make hangers. This allowed me to use the studs to mount the rail and space the doors out to my liking with the hangers. Just used 3 1/2“ wood screws. The weight gets distributed across the 2x4 then to the studs. Super solid. Not coming down. Painted it initially but ended up covering it in carpet remnants.

Ditto, works great for full and half doors.

Wow this is so timely, started down this rabbit hole this weekend. Previously I was doing the car mat thing from the start of the video. I then started to wonder if resting the doors on the seams (bottoms) are causing enough flex to cause the paint blistering seen along door bottoms, as in standing them on the bottoms is just enough to break the paint seal allowing the aluminum to "heal" and blister the paint? Doubtful but crossed my mind, maybe that's why some people keep getting the blisters and some never do? Saw some of the hinge based hangers online but where about $100 each (I'd need two because Unlimited vs 2 door Jeep). Was resigning myself to buying a few moving blankets and laying to doors on it on the floor, each front door with a back door on top (moving blanket also in between each in the stacks). I have the floor space but seems like a waste of space where other methods make more sense. I've read the door hooks that hold by the window tops can crush the weather stripping so wasn't feeling that. Are the hinges etc made to hold the full weight of the door for long periods of time when the latch (as when the door is closed on the Jeep) isn't taking on a lot of load, guessing so and that I'm overthinking it? Just feel that simply looking at these doors wrong causes the blistered paint.

The blistering paint is coming from corrosion forming in the hem flange and eventually spreading to the outside of the doors. Same with the hood. Poor prep at the factory. Moisture gets in the seams and away we go.
Plenty of people with corrosion along the edges of doors who never take their doors off. I hang mine using Arc hangers. As long as you make sure they are hung correctly (in the channel), you will not damage the weather stripping.
