Your Rubicon doesn't have side steps? My 5 foot even wife climbs into the back seats WITH our 1 year old in her arms even with the smaller rock rail steps. Even without those, she'd be fine. Maybe marry someone physically capable.

Jeep Wrangler JL Don't marry a short girlfriend ... 10962045_10203445660764053_1121834361_n

At the time I was driving a lifted 49 Willys Wagon. When it was time to go to the hospital to deliver our first child, I had to lift her into the jeep. Fortunately she also weighed 110 pounds less than me.

So I have the Dominator D6 side steps on the 2021 JLU with 2.5in lift and 35s. I absolutely love them, but it's a big jump for even me at 5'10". However, I didn't want the "removable steps" because I am sure I'd forget they were there. Instead, I am swapping them out for the D6's for the D1s, which have a little drop - like 2 inches - which should make a difference and I actually like the look better.

I have to say, I have been really happy with the D6's for a year now - I was hit in the side by a Prius at about 5-7mph and the steps took the abuse and destroyed the prius front end. A can of black paint, and they'll be re-sellable in a few hours.

The jeep is no problem, even on 37's. Now the TRUCK.. i have to use the grab handle even at 6'. the truck is over 7' tall. It no longer fits in car washes or parking garages. It never really fit in a 7' parking garage stock.

I used to actually look forward to helping my little 5' gf up into the truck. It was quite fun.
