Thread made me research whether the windshield was legally required here.

It is not, however the windshield wipers are.

Loophole?

First time with the windshield down I wasn't a fan.

Did it again this weekend and it was fantastic. Will be doing this more. Except I swear it causes rain when it's not forecast. Grumble grumble.

Best reason for the folding windshield. If you damage the frame wheeling, replacing is easier and cheaper than repairing a fixed piece. Should be plenty at the wreckers by now.

Tried it just to see what it was like. Had a blast, brought back memories of my Army days. Although it doesn't take long to lower the windshield, I probably won't do it very often. Mind you, I said the same thing about taking the doors off and that turned out to be a lie.

While I don't do it often, I do like driving with the windshield down. I am a long time motorcyclist and this is about as close as you can get to a motorcycle feel with 4wheels.

With the full roll bar, the coolness of the look when the windshield is folded is lost.
