order one with a manual transmission, and 95% of people under 40 won't be able to steal it.............
My 2016 supercharged Jk with a manual was stolen our of my driveway and driven to TJ back in january. They have their own PCM and WCM that they simply plug it and drive off with a key they already have programmed to it. They most likely destroyed the engine driving it on a stock tune. Never saw the vehicle again, even knowing exactly where it was in TJ. Police did nothing.

The people smart enough to properly bypass and steal these vehicles can drive manual.

What's your address?
Fortunately, I don't drive it daily so it rarely gets left in a parking lot for very long. At home it is in the garage. My neighbors have his and hers 392's! One is on 40's, 1 tons, coilovers and a bunch more. Hopefully thiefs know better and steal his before mine!!!

You need to put that on a sign in your front yard.

Someone should come up with a blocking device similar to the steering wheel blockers, that attaches to the passenger side grab bar and blocks the possibility to open the glove box.

Again, I'm really only referring to casual thieves. Like a couple of 16 year olds out for a joyride. They probably wouldn't steal a manual jeep.
You said TJ twice, what is that?

Casual thieves aren't computer hacking your auto either. If you're dumb enough to leave your key in your Jeep you need to worry about casual thieves. Pros who are hacking, towing, or trailering your rig don't care what transmission you have. If you're one of the idiots at Starbucks or the convenience store leaving your vehicle running when you go inside, your manual might stop a crime of opportunity but that's about it.

I never did this. But a friend had a lil car that he moded for racing. Got stolen. He tracked it. Got it back. Got stolen again. He tracked it. Got it back. He threw a biohazard bag with junk in it- in the back seat, gloves and a mask on the seat. When he exits the car he puts vasoline (lavender scented i think ?) on the steering wheel, interior door handle, and shifter. Got broken into multiple time. Never anything taken or stolen. He just wipes on the vasoline, then wipes off with wet wipes. Says it made his leather and his hands really soft. I guess "gross body fluids" trumps stealing the car.

Just had my week old Jeep (100 km on it) stolen in my area along with 4 other Jeeps the same night, all new. The scum broke in by jamming something in passenger door key then had pulled the glovebox out to access behind it. Went around the corner and created their own key fob. I have video from a neighbour of them walking up to my Jeep and having it open before they even got to the door. Drove across the front lawn as my son looked out the window.
All wireless security cameras in our area were jammed with some kind of device. So use wired cameras.
Jeep was then parked on a city street an hour away to cool off. Luckily I had a great tracker put in the Jeep when I bought it the week before. Only pings at a specified time once it is activated so really hard for scum to scan for. Had to wait about 6 hours to get its location. Police were called and vehicle was picked up and taken to Police station. When I went to get it neither of my key fobs worked any longer. Have to get reprogrammed and put as many alarms and cameras on my Jeep as I'm sure they will try again. I'll be waiting this time. F-ers!
I highly recommend this tracker, very high recovery rate.
Other 4 Jeeps I believe are long gone.
