Good to see that the cover can work with some diff skids.Love mine, I painted my red Rancho skid with some hammered grey to match…….

Do you mean to say that you are in a Jeep forum, yet drive a Bronco!? And that you are offering useful advice in an attempt to help out Jeep owners!?They are solid and a good choice if you will not be running differential skids. I think a more a few here have installed them. I am running the Ford version of them on the rear of my Bronco and the Ford version has a drain plug.
I seem to recall due to the support ribs that most skids will not work with them.
I ran Next Venture skids with Motobilt covers (which are about the same price as the Dana covers).
LOL - indeed. The "competition" does not always have to be negative. I did drive a Jeep until engine issues pushed me to the dark side.Do you mean to say that you are in a Jeep forum, yet drive a Bronco!? And that you are offering useful advice in an attempt to help out Jeep owners!?
How dare you attempt to ruin my negative opinion of Bronco owners, sir!?
That's an interesting rear cover... I wonder if they have one like that with the drain plug for the front M210 differential?2023's do NOT have front or rear diff drain plugs. 2023 JLU Rubicon 3.6 eTorque here (built January 2023).
I solved that problem by installing aFe differential covers front & rear. The sight glasses and magnetic dipsticks were an added bonus, as was the additional fluid capacity.

There we go--I knew there was at least one that would work with the Dana covers.Love mine, I painted my red Rancho skid with some hammered grey to match…….

They do, you're looking at it in my pictures. That's their M210 front & M220 rear cover set. They also make them for the M186 & M200.That's an interesting rear cover... I wonder if they have one like that with the drain plug for the front M210 differential?
I think the MC golden diaper works too…There we go--I knew there was at least one that would work with the Dana covers.
You are absolutely right. I get yelled at by the wife every time I wave to a Bronco. I keep telling her that a Bronco bro might end up saving our @$$3$ one day. It doesn't hurt to be nice heh.LOL - indeed. The "competition" does not always have to be negative. I did drive a Jeep until engine issues pushed me to the dark side.
The thing that gives me pause on those is the cast aluminum construction ?That's an interesting rear cover... I wonder if they have one like that with the drain plug for the front M210 differential?
I think it's safe to go with a cover manufactured by the same folks who manufactured the housing ?Be careful. Contrary to popular belief, diff cover are not just a cover to hold the fluid in and protect gears. They inside fin design is vital on how the diff fluid flows and lubricates the gears.
What is the RK metal above the diff?Love mine, I painted my red Rancho skid with some hammered grey to match…….

Thats what I was thinking.I think it's safe to go with a cover manufactured by the same folks who manufactured the housing ?
It’s a truss that holds my rear upper control arm…also I’m using it to hold my center limiting strap. I’m running long travel shocks on a 3.5” lift, so if both wheels droop at the same time my rear coils would come loose. The strap limits full droop of both wheels at the same time…..but doesn’t affect drooping one wheel individually.…. The truss is part of my Rock Krawler long arm kit with 3link rear ( only one rear upper control arm in the center)……..What is the RK metal above the diff?
Where did you get that from and what is its purpose?
Thats what I was thinking.
You would think that they have taken lubication etc. into account when they designed them,,,,
Cast aluminum? That's not going to work well. I mean you could definitely put a steel skid plate on that differential, but at that point you'd have to take it off every time you do your differential oil change. Which for me wouldn't be that bad cuz I do mine every 20,000 mi.The thing that gives me pause on those is the cast aluminum construction ?
