Just a hypothetical, but will the Ram DEF delete work on the upcoming JL diesel?

I'd imagine it will be the same straightforward approach. With the right programming one should be able to remove both the DEF, DPF, CATs and the ERG while also adding HP and torque at the same time. Should be able to control the vanes on the turbo to get more boots at zero throttle.

Is this legal? not speaking to warranty but can you still register a car like this if modified?

Yes this this would be violating several federal and I'm sure a few State laws. This should only be done for you know, off-road vehicles only and maybe if you live in Mexico...

My RAM and my past Jetta ran so much better with out all of that nanny State emission crap installed. Oh trust me, I like clean air and water as much as you do, however if my vehicles are burning less fuel that means less pollution, less demand on the fuel supply etc etc.

I think the people who have, monster injectors, the wrong sizes turbo and and have their programmers turned up KILL or RACE and black out an intersection piss me off and makes the rest of us look bad. You can have a clean burning diesel the makes great power with out having to coat the vehicles behind you in a cloud of exhaut.

It's not hard to get a passed inspection after modification if you know someone that works at a shop or don't mind buying them a case of their favorite beverage...

Sometimes that is easier said then done. I currently live in Arizona and while most of the state doesn't have emissions my county (and one other) do. However, its rather simple to grab a PO Box out side of the county and register the vehicle(s) to the PO Box. Its really that simple here.

Depends on where you live. I deleted the DEF from my 2014 Silverado, but i live in a state that I don't worry about emissions. Gas Milage went up, power/torque was greatly increased. I will do the same when I take delivery of my jeep, just waiting on them to release the diesel for sale.

Did it to the wife's BMW 335D. Difference is night and day...the emissions systems on modern diesels REALLY hold them back.

We're not an emissions area...so...no worries.

Looking hard at the diesel as well...will definitely look at the options for this as well...

What companies know the ins and outs of the FCA ECU? I'm guessing the JL will have basically the same one as the RAM ecodiesel. Now, if only they offered the NV5600 trans with it!

I used Motor OPS on my Duramax, bought it from Alligator Diesel in CDA, ID. I also got my exhaust from them as well, Straight pipe from the down pipe back.

NO ONE offers a programmer for the 3.0 Ecodiesel. The encryption hasn't been broken on it so they can't program through the OBD 2 port. The only way to program the ECU is to physically remove it from the engine and directly program it. I know Banks and GDE (Green Diesel Engineering) have tunes for it, but you have to either take the Jeep to them or mail your ECU in for programming. GDE offers an exchange program, where you can put a $750 deposit down and they will send you a programmed ECU and you send them your old one when you get it and they refund your deposit. That said, that is for the Gen 1 3.0 ecodiesel and I'm guessing it will be a while before they have a tune for the Gen 2. I'd wait to get one until the tune is out to avoid EGR soot issues.
