Any reason you’re running the 75W140? Only curious cause I am about to die my break in oil change on my gears and going off the jl manual it shows 75W90 thanks Roky!

I don’t think you can go wrong either way…… we drive on the surface of the sun here 9 months out of the year and the 75/140 performs better at higher temperatures…..also recommended if you carry a lot of weight or tow……I’m running the 75/90 in the front…..

Well after a couple years using a 3/4” nut for a 1/2” bump stop puck, I decided to do it right….it’s not that it doesn’t work, that’s actually why it’s taken this long to change them, lol……
Jeep Wrangler JL Crystal Rubi build… D76D6566-55C4-42D9-AB96-5B6171936025

I was gonna buy some 1/2” pucks but since I only need 2, I was having a hard time justifying the 70.00 for a kit…( couldn’t find where I could buy just 2) So I bought a 6 pk of hockey pucks for $14.00 off the Amazon…

I ran a couple of them through the table saw, drilled a 5/8” hole in them….. two 1/2” bump pucks for $2.30 each and 30 minutes of my time…….:)

@Roky is killing me here! Nice action shots! I'm jealous... I still have to deal with the crappy upper midwest weather for now. At least it's warmed up enough to get me out of my hibernation and into the garage.

Thanks for sharing, brother!

Thanks man…..Lol….. nah, she doesn’t like to ride along, she thinks we’re taking her to the vet, when the engine starts, she’s gone….? ……..she has her own chair (of course it has to be red) for supervision from afar when it’s running……

Too much work. I would just throw it away and buy a new Jeep. Besides, you’ve seen how bad I am at working on mine! ??? If anyone sees a broken Jeep just left on a trail for all eternity, it’s probably mine.

Although, 2nd time doing a task is much more fun than the first time where I’m confused as all heck. I’ll get there eventually, maybe.

I’m jealous of your buddy’s lift. That’s gotta make these jobs much more fun than me rolling around in the leftover mess from winter slush on the garage floor.

I made myself an anti flop bushing for my RK Pro X drag link…… It has anti flop mechanisms built into the joints but they allow -/+ 15 degrees of movement for long travel mid arm kits…. Since I don’t have the same axle movement with the long arms I don’t need that 15 degrees. But this bushing is soft enough it will smush for most of that misalignment if I need it…….

mid arm…..

I took (4) 1/8” rubber washers, cut them, glued them together toothed so I could put them on without taking the drag link off, then glued the teeth together when I got it on…… I’ll make up a nicer one if this continues to work, so far it’s working great…..

Just want to mention that the way it was flipped over is normal, that’s as far as it will go, and it never presented any problems….it’s designed to work perfectly as is….. it’s just one of those ocd things for me, since the long arm kit allows it, why not take advantage of it…….It’s a small thing, but if I can keep the little bastard in my head happy, then I’m happy……..?

The devil…? is opening his doors and windows to let the heat out down here, so this is probably the last nice weekend for a while…..played hooky Saturday and took her out in her birthday suit one last time, (comfortably that is) and made sure the new rubber bushing wasn’t causing any problems…..

Hey Roky, I wonder if he took some time off after all the craziness of EJS, Moore and then Jeep Beach?
