The number one most common JL problem I see on this forum is people worrying about problems they don't have and likely never will. Just because it's common for a hand full of people on this forum to shout from the roof tops when THEY have a problem doesn't make it a common problem across the hundreds of thousands of JL's on the roads and trails. Stop worrying and go wheeling. If you have a problem, by all means let us know. But please don't come on here and try to convince us that OUR Jeeps are ticking time bombs destined to experience YOUR issue. It's simply not the reality of the odds bared out by the numbers.

I’d say the steel rear bumper being almost worthless as protection. It will push right into the body. Metal cloak now sells a reinforcement bracket, but I don’t have it or know how well it will work. I’m just planning on a new rear bumper, the front one is actually kinda ugly too. Ultimately the factory steel bumpers are not that great imo.

Over inflated tires and windshield is a Jeep thing not a JL thing. JK windshields were worse, they were more upright and took harder impacts

When I had my JKU and before I had to add kids to my insurance I had zero deductible comprehensive. on my 2013 JKU I replaced 4 windshields in 1 year

I don't recall any other generation of Jeep having weak windshield problems like the JL has. Perhaps the JK did (I completely ignored that era), but the current windshield is by far the most slanted back in history, so these new ones should be amazing if the angle was any factor.
Additionally, I've smacked unthinkable things off the YJ windshield without a scratch but I think a bug chipped my JL windshield last week.
JK was much worse, 1st replacement on my JKU was at 700 miles

Loose steering
That loose steering was the first thing that I looked for while driving my Jeep home on the highway from the shipper (well, maybe the third thing, after too-high tire pressure and loose fuses). And I was pretty impressed by how tight, centered and responsive my steering actually is.

YES, THIS!!!

As much as I like the looks and styling of my 2-door JLWS, I think the first mod that I had planned for it, long before I even took delivery of it, was getting rid of that SINFULLY ugly front bumper! Damn is that thing UGLY! Oh, and did I mention how UGLY the JL front bumper is? I mean, really, REALLY ugly!!

The YJ front bumper was fine. The TJ front bumper was fine. The JK front bumper was simple and fine. But this weird, overstyled JL front bumper, for me, is the one jarring, negative note to the look of the Jeep.

Now honestly, tell me which looks better:

After:

To me, the difference here is stark, and the vastly better choice obvious.

Yeah... what's the story with that one? I've gotten that several times while braking (harder than normal). I haven't noticed any change in performance... and the warning only stays on for a couple of seconds.

@Demi There are a few recent threads around on the Performance Limited issue. Seems also related to braking/slowing situations and possibly the fuel pickup in the tank becoming briefly exposed to air.

No one has had any codes resulting from this, and a small fraction of folks have actually had their performance limited. One thread got a few answers from someone official in Jeep and it seems it’s a non issue as long as it’s a brief occurrence.

Hey that is great,, maybe my new one will be "tighter" than what I have.. Other than that I have had ZERO problems with my current Jeep (except for the visor that fell off after 500 miles but was replaced under warranty and good since then)

Only having less than 300 miles on mine so far, I can't say that I've had any problems with the sun visor, lol. But I have read about it a lot, and it seems to be a very common if not inevitable problem.

So I plan to order a couple of these, which from reviews I have read should permanently solve that little problem:
