There is nothing mysterious about the 2.0 coolant thing. And it isn't "common". The bolts are loose holding the pump on. Tighten them.
Hello, i am from the netherlands, and do have a 2.0 etorque. 5000kms. 2020.
I did fill up the topper one with the right fluid.
I like to know where i can find the pump and check the bolts… your help will be very welcome, thanks in advance Marinus

Common JL problem:
Being happy with your Jeep, and then parking next to someone else’s Jeep with a taller lift and bigger tires, and thinking, “Wow! Nice! What if…?” ?
Then The wife turns and says, “No, don’t even think about it!”
Harsh reality.
Saturday on a trail ride with about 60 Jeeps. We all stopped for a break in a large parking area. There was a stock 2 door JLR to my right and a JLUR with an AEV lift to my left. The JLR on my right was scoping out my 35’s and I was scoping out the 37’s on the JLUR on my left, LOL. I reassured myself I am good with my 35’s. ?

Baxi, be aware that if you have a JLU --- a 4-door JL --- then your maximum towing capacity is right at 1600 kg (actually, 1590 kg, when converted from US pounds). So you will be at the very limit of what the manufacturer considers a safe towing load, and anything that you add to it, in addition to that 1600 kg, will put you into increasingly unsafe territory in regards to towing.

If you have the 2-door Jeep, then your towing capacity would be even lower, 910 kg. I hope that you will not be towing that weight that you gave with a 2-door Jeep!

Hi chugiakguy, thanks for the tip, but i was wrong… the caravan is only 1080 empty, and we loaded till 1300 kg …..sorry for this so we will be safe??

o wow! Thanks ! You are living in europe? Did you go with or without a caravan? I used to drive Mitsubishi pajero for 25 years diesel, but we are very happy with the wrangler , no regrets , and this forum is good, but problems with new or second hand cars is a common thing….nothing is perfect…

That hasn’t been my experience:
2 TJs, 60,000 miles each, 0 broken windshields
2 JKs, 70,000 miles each, 1 broken windshield
1 JL, 10,000 miles, 2 broken windshields, first broken one at 350 miles

maybe it’s all random luck, but from my experience the JL windshield is the weakest
You’re gonna have to expand your sample size. They’ve always been prone to breakage.

Like I said it was fixed, that's why yours got replaced.

Some people today talk like they want a perfect world, and nothing or no one is allowed any mistakes. A lady at work bought a new Hyundai hybrid and it's been in the shop 3 times in less than a year. Toyota Rav 4's are blowing up and a few people have been killed. And I can go on and on.

We all know better. Believe me I am one to look at things that could be better, could have maybe put more thought into etc.

But when I look at the wrangler and it's intended design, how much jeep put into it and how much better it is than previous jeeps, even if it breaks I still feel it is one hell of a vehicle with unmatched off road abilities.

FCA, now stellantis ( probably not spelled right) has done a really nice job with all their vehicles in recent years. Read reviews the new wagoneer. I currently am in a 2021 Tahoe loaner (jeeps getting a free tune) upper trim level and it's nice. I own a 2020 ram 1500 big horn crew cab 4x4 with level 2 equipment group. The ram rides better, handles better, smoother. The stop start in the Chevy is horrible. The etorque stop start system in the ram is seamless to the point sometimes you don't even notice it and it is much quicker to start. The infotainment in the Chevy is butt ugly, sticks out like a sore thumb it's just terrible. Almost like it was and after thought. The 12 inch infotainment system in the ram is beautiful, well thought out and just so much nicer.

Just one example. One person posted his biggest JL problem was the smile on his face, well put brother.
I spent more than 2 years straight in rental cars changing out about every 60 days. I tried to not get any GM products.

My blinker fluid ran out after 30 days and it’s on back order due to nationwide shortages!

I’d say the steel rear bumper being almost worthless as protection. It will push right into the body. Metal cloak now sells a reinforcement bracket, but I don’t have it or know how well it will work. I’m just planning on a new rear bumper, the front one is actually kinda ugly too. Ultimately the factory steel bumpers are not that great imo.
All the JLs with factory steel bumpers in my group have body damage from the rear bumper pushing into the body. I saved the $1,800 and got the plastic. Where the steel bumper causes damage, I get a black mark on my body that's easy to wash off.

And here, in my total ignorance, I thought that a bumper was supposed to protect the body of the vehicle from impacts --- not impact the body itself!

There's another group of engineers who deserve to be fired.

Loose steering
Isn't that just a Jeep thing?

You're not going to have nice tight steering like on a sports car, just comes with the territory.
