Good to know Thanks sounds like they worked out that problemWhen I took delivery of my 392 the first thing I noticed was how tight the steering was compared to my '18 JLUSahara
Also the dealership will replace with new parts under warranty.. They told me every Jeep they sold lost the original visor so they kind of laughed when I called "Get in line" LOL But worked fine ever since so if you don't want to spend the money just have the dealership replace itOnly having less than 300 miles on mine so far, I can't say that I've had any problems with the sun visor, lol. But I have read about it a lot, and it seems to be a very common if not inevitable problem.
So I plan to order a couple of these, which from reviews I have read should permanently solve that little problem:

Oh, certainly Jeepalady, having the dealership replace that part is an option. But I'd rather fix it once, and not have to bother with it again. Also the dealership will replace with new parts under warranty.. Yes that is what they told me and so the new fix reinforces it I guess.. We'll see what happens on the new Jeeo (if I ever get it LOL)Oh, certainly Jeepalady, having the dealership replace that part is an option. But I'd rather fix it once, and not have to bother with it again.
From what I've already seen of that part, that little stock clip that holds the sun visor in place, it is flimsy and weak, and just waiting to break.
Oh, OK, thanks Jeepalady! Maybe I had misunderstood you, thinking that the dealer had replaced your broken sun visor clip with just another one of exactly the same kind.Yes that is what they told me and so the new fix reinforces it I guess.. No they ordered a new visor with the reinforced clips so I think you probably have the new ones in you Jeep if you only have 300 miles on it.. Mine is a 2020 Unlimited but ordered a 2023 Sport S 2-door... Still waiting LOL.. Maybe a Thanksgiving present? Christmas Present? April Fools???? Which one do you have.. Jeeps are definitely a must in yout Neck of the Woods (Miss fishing for that lovely Halibut, my favorite fish) So expensive here, you almost need to take out a loan to buy it LOLOh, OK, thanks Jeepalady! Hey Jeepalady, my (new) Jeep is a 2022 Willys Sport, 2-door. As seen in my avatar pic here. And you know, for all that I have read about those weak sun visor clips, I have not bothered to actually look to see which kind I have! Chugiakguy...Your have a beautiful Jeep LOVE the red,, I ordered the High Velocity Yellow You know you can't really see the new attachment on the left,, I guess its hidden (which is nice in a way) but I asked my sales guy and he said 2020 on has the new visor setup and since yours in a 2022 you should be good.Hey Jeepalady, my (new) Jeep is a 2022 Willys Sport, 2-door. What does the reinforced clip look like on yours? You don't happen to have a photo of it by chance, do you?
Thanks Jeepalady! And that is good to know about that silly little sun visor clip, that mine is apparently the updated/reinforced version. I only think about it because I probably use the sun visor more than many other Jeep owners --- Alaska, Land of the Low-Angle Sun (which somehow is always in your eyes, no matter what direction you happen to be traveling).Chugiakguy...Your have a beautiful Jeep LOVE the red,, I ordered the High Velocity Yellow You know you can't really see the new attachment on the left,, I guess its hidden (which is nice in a way) but I asked my sales guy and he said 2020 on has the new visor setup and since yours in a 2022 you should be good.
Yes, I've come very close to hitting moose on the roads up here, and grazed one a few years ago, so it was not even a consideration for me to keep that flimsy plastic shell of a stock front bumper.I just looked at your front bumper (the first thing I want to replace) since the factory ones suck esp after I impaled a big bull elk on my old Jeep (2007) but luckily had a steel bumper with a high bullbar which is the ony thing that saved me from getting the elk in my lap but I lke the look of yours,, what is the brand? Hopefully all the 2023's will be able to use the 2022 mods...I will s end photo when mine arrives.. I assume you have a winch bumper????
Thank you, @Buster1. I appreciate that and will dive deeper (but without worry).@Demi There are a few recent threads around on the Performance Limited issue. Seems also related to braking/slowing situations and possibly the fuel pickup in the tank becoming briefly exposed to air.
No one has had any codes resulting from this, and a small fraction of folks have actually had their performance limited. One thread got a few answers from someone official in Jeep and it seems it’s a non issue as long as it’s a brief occurrence.
Yep I know about that as I am from Sweden originally "Land of the Midnight Sun" I also remember rockhunting up in Alaska and 3 AM LOL so I felt right at home in AlaskaThanks Jeepalady! My front bumper is the Rock Hard "Patriot", full width, in aluminum (to hold down the extra weight). And it is fully winch-capable, although I do not have a winch on it now. If the surface appearance of it looks a little odd or non-standard, it is because I had the bumper professionally coated with Line-X, a spray-on bedliner material. I really like how it sits, and looks, on the Jeep, although, with the Line-X, and taking into account the scary cost I had to pay to have it shipped up here, it is now probably the single most expensive Jeep bumper in all of Alaska!
I do want to add some off-road lights to the front bumper soon, though. I'm looking at KC Flex Era 4s.
this should really go in the Chukiaguy thread about "why is my MPG so bad.?" .. you got 1/2 a ton of steel hung off the front of your jeep !!!!YES, THIS!!!
As much as I like the looks and styling of my 2-door JLWS, I think the first mod that I had planned for it, long before I even took delivery of it, was getting rid of that SINFULLY ugly front bumper! Damn is that thing UGLY! Oh, and did I mention how UGLY the JL front bumper is? I mean, really, REALLY ugly!!
The YJ front bumper was fine. The TJ front bumper was fine. The JK front bumper was simple and fine. But this weird, overstyled JL front bumper, for me, is the one jarring, negative note to the look of the Jeep.
Now honestly, tell me which looks better:

To me, the difference here is stark, and the vastly better choice obvious.
