The controls on the center stack - radio volume, fan speed, heated seats etc used to be available immediately upon starting the Jeep. Now it takes about 20-30 seconds before they are available to use. I am thinking battery although I have had it checked twice and both times it has come back ok. While driving the voltage is 14.4-14.5. With the ignition on and motor not running the voltage is 12.2. I am curious if anyone else has come across this. Thanks.

Same here. 2018 JLUR. It is random, sometimes it comes on immediately, as it should, other times it takes 20 to 45 seconds. Annoying to say the least.

Batteries were replaced this past summer.

Mine too. I have a pretty new Odyssey battery so it's not that. I think it just needs to think a minute and boot up.

I pulled/reset fuse # F105 and it seems to have corrected the issue. F105 is for ICS/HVAC, it is a 10 amp red micro fuse. If you are looking at the fuse box from passenger side to driver side F105 is the red fuse in the lower right corner. It worked for me.

From new, and immediately after a cold or warm start, there's been a brief delay in the response time of the fan speed dial on my HVAC control panel. There is a slightly shorter delay that occurs when I adjust the air flow position via the right-most dial.

As the aforementioned behavior has been 100% consistent, I've not given the matter much thought. As long as I have the desired heat or cooling -- and I always have -- I figure this is just a quirk of the controls' electronic functioning.

JLU Sport w/Uconnect 3, if it matters.

Just tried the fuse trick. Seems to have worked. Will monitor and report back. Mine definitely did not do it from new.

Fear not, it's the super up to date operating system run on a Intel 4004 processor. We are lucky they boot before we hit hiway speeds.

This is why the Rubi is primary vehicle in the cold, manual buttons for butt cheek warmer.

Do the heated seats in the JL Jeeps have a nanny function, whereby if you toggle to 3 lights (high heat), a timer is started such that the heat will eventually and automatically pivot to Medium (2 lights) and then, after a bit more time, Low (1 light)?

I ask because that's exactly what the heated seats do in my wife's Honda, which is annoying.

Not that I've ever experienced. At least not in a JL.

No, they stay wherever they are set, and an option to have them come on with remote start.

The heated seats will stay on using the setting selected, they do not automatically lower or shut off until you adjust them or shut them off. The steering wheel works the same but only has one temperature setting. I usually shut off the steering wheel heat after 5 minutes or so, after that it gets too hot. If you do a remote start and the temperature is 39 degrees or below the seats, steering wheel and rear window defroster will come on. The seats will be at the highest heat level. Unfortunately during a remote start the heated passenger seat will not be activated, my wife complains about that all the time.
