Gladiator selling poorly? I thought they were a hit?
Gladiator is overpriced other than that it’s a sweet small truck. I mean the gladiator rubicon is the same price as my 250 tremor. More room more power more haul more tow. Now if the gladiator rubi was $45k and a direct competition with the TRD pro and zr2...
It was popular at first, but when I was looking a few months ago they were putting a lot of money on the hood of a Gladiator to move them, not so much with the Wrangler. It's not been a disaster but I don't think it's been the hit they were hoping for either. Maybe I'm wrong...

Not too popular in my area of CT, but i went to autotrader and searched used models within 25 miles and they are asking more than what i paid for my JL new.

Well, you can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting a 4 door JK or JL....so it must be regional.
Yea, we have TONS of jeeps around here, but just no Gladiators. I don't see the appeal of the Gladiator, to be honest, but that's just me.

@Whisky19
lol that did make me chuckle. But dang if people never learn their lesson to just wait and see. It's November and we're probably not gonna see broncos on the road until June at the earliest. The hype will come back when that time comes. But until then, yea, I think it's going to drop off a cliff and people who were so caught up in the reveal and rushed to make a reservation will take a nice deep breath of realizing just how long 8 months is lol

Yeah.. of course my posts are all in good fun. I agree 100% that when these hit the road they will turn heads and the true reviews will be up front and center.

You're not alone. I don't get it either. The wheelbase is too long the overhang is too great...but I guess for people who *need* a truck, but want to be able to do somewhat difficult trails and who are willing to lift them, it might make sense.
Gladiators BEG for a lift. They just look too disproportionate in stock form.

Last summer i went to a dealer and in the showroom they had a lifted Gladiator Overland in firecracker red with larger tires, black rims and doors removed and looked badass.

Definitely not a hit, though maybe they'll do better in the future. Apparently it was the worst-selling Jeep vehicle last year and also the worst-selling vehicle in its segment. (source article motorbiscuit.com)

Around here, they are super popular. See them all over the place.
First 6 months of 2020
Ranger: 45988
Colorado: 41273
Gladiator: 34827
Not a failure by any means. Specially when the Rubi is $10k more than the TRD Pro or ZR2.

How many would they sell if they cute the Rubi price by $10k and sell them for $45K?

Ya, I stopped replying to this thread because no matter what things are written about the Bronco, there’s bound to be Jeep fans to shit all over it.

Some things Ford has done are not cool (like the MIC grey top) but the Bronco is still a great competitor.

Oh, and the comment that the Bronco Warthog will be in the same price range (I would suspect around 60-65k if it’s like other Ford Perf vehicles) but not a killer motor....okay there. It probably won’t be a massive, heavy V8, but the 3.0 or 3.6 ...the Ford GT does okay with that engine block so I’m quite sure they can modify and program it to work well in a Bronco...
You presume too much. Not a fan boi of jeep so much as I and others are a fan of offroad prowess. I was super excited about a bronco and HOPEFUL they would do it right with a solid axle. It would have made it a true competitor to jeep.

But instead we got something that does well going fast and adequate for the masses in semi tech. With the 392 it pretty much has it all, thank you FORD.

Maybe ford will correct it's mistake and get serious and go solid front axle and I will get one....that and cause it has a much coveted lighter engine. ;)

Keeping my JLR for now. Just heard Bronco will be offering a truck bed version 2024. If they offer a regular or xtra cab with a 5' bed. So long JLR.
I heard this a bit ago and I will be looking into that version as well. I dont need a solid front axle for a pickup

Lol you just get more and more ridiculous. You haven't even driven the bronco or seen a neutral third party drive it offroad yet you're already declaring it's not a "true competitor." Give me a break. People who type stuff like that and agree with stuff like that really scare me.

And you didn't respond to my last very factual rebuttal to another one of your false statements. Come back when you have something real to show us.
