Greetings.

New to Jeep Nation -- my better half just acquired a 2024 Wrangler Sport S.
Having a whack of a lot of fun thus far ... but I do find the headlamp illumination to be anemic.
Can anyone recommend a brighter/tighter headlamp?

This is what's in there now:

Thanks very much. Can anyone explain why programming/reprogramming is (or may be) needed when upgrading bulbs (as discussed in the thread linked in the prior message)?

headlights are powered through the BCM/whatever it’s called so if it had halogens from the factory it’s programmed to see that draw. If you put less draw on it with LED bulbs you’ll get flickering and maybe “bulb out” messages on the dash.

I put LED bulbs from Amazon in 2 JLs about a year ago and haven't had any issues. No flickering or dash warnings.

I put the Beamtech LED bulbs in my Sport S the first week I had it. They were a great improvement over the halogen lights and for $40 or so a great value.

I just moved to SC and many roads near me are 2-lane roads with lots of shadows. I decided to get the Oracle Bi-LED to get the halo DRLs since my Sport didn't have the DRL LED fender package. I have to say these are another leap up from the Beamtechs and quite nice. And they are easy to install too.

It's comes down to cost. Replacing the halogen bulbs with LED bulbs is cheap and easy to do. I loved mine for 3 years and never had any issues with them, nobody flashed me, etc. But if you can swing the $$$ for full LED replacements they are going to be even better.

That's LED, right? I thought 2024 has LED standard. My 2024 has LED and it's the brightest display I've ever seen. It out performs light bars! And then the high beams are even brighter and the auto high beam feature works flawlessly.

I live in the mountains, no street lights, dark town. With elk all over the place. These are the brightest lights I've even seen.

If you're running LED in the 2024 and you think they are not bright enough, something else might be wrong.

The picture in OPs post looks just like my halogens. Seems the Sport still gets halogens if that's a 2024.

Thanks.
Did you have to do any computer updates when you installed the Beamtechs?

Yeah, it's a 2024 Sport S.

I guess FCA/Stellantis doesn't want drivers of its 'lesser models' to be able to see the road.

Yeah how any maker can still get away without putting LED headlights on their vehicles in 2024 is a mystery. They are so far superior to the halogens it's not funny. I drove mine at night once and decided they had to go.

I even upgraded my previous TJ to LED headlights, so I was used to being able to see at night :)
