Brighter reverse lights for 2023 392?

I overdid it and installed all three of these - in my opinion, they’re listed here in the order of easiest to install to most difficult and also in the order of least additional lighting to most additional light.

For me, Oracle flush lights are the sweet point, but even the hitchmount pod is a huge improvement vs stock!

I don’t regret doing all three though, learned a lot while installing

For me some drop in replacement LED bulbs were plenty good for what I needed.

I got the resistors but so far haven't bothered to install them. I see flicker in the backup camera at night, but it hasn't bothered me enough to do the install.

Ah! I didn't read closely enough. I didn't realize you were trying to replace LEDs.

I like the hitch mounted option, assuming you have trailer tow package. Easy to install, no changes to wires or lights. I have a slightly different version, but love the results

I have a bit written about the Oracle reflector replacement light on the left side of the Jeep. There are others who have had to take a Dremel, belt sander etc.
The passenger side fit right in no problem, Check out some info here on them, BUT I love them now that I got a replacement drivers side light, that after finally sanding it enough and I didnt break the seal of the lense and base and it went in no problem but it was sticking out a little more then the other so I kinda made the mechanics fist to tap it in and I swear it hit it lightly but I managed to crack the lense. Color me stupid lol Oracle said that they originally designed the lights to be used with plastic bumpers, But why does one fit perfectly and the other is no where near fitting at all
There was mention on the forum about a small sledge hammer and a piece of wood and it fit

And they are not very difficult to get out I believe I used a 1/4 drive 6 inch extension and a swivel and you'll get it

Thanks Terry, I did look at the troubleshooting documentation and the shop I had install got the same information from Oracle Tech Support. I need to take the Jeep back in so they can take photos of the working and send to Tech Support.

How does the blind spot detection work on flush mounted unit? I thought it needed to stick out a little to see past the fenders...

I have Oracle flush mounts and the Baja Desings receiver insert. More than enough light now when reversing. If you get the Baja Designs make sure you tie the harness up high as far away from the exhaust as possible.

Sadly this is very common. In fact so common when I called Oracle about it a year ago they simply offered to RMA for refund. Nice offer but I'd prefer they work. Has been a known issue. Up to now I think very few JLs have had the blind spot monitoring option.

If the OP's only use case for brighter illumination while in reverse is one location at home, another solution might be solar-powered, motion-triggered lights mounted along his driveway. I use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083FKXK3N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 . It provides sufficient light for the JL's backup camera to see clearly. It also makes it easier to find the right key to unlock the backdoor.
