It appears that some of the 22's have the light in the mirror housing.
I will wait for it to be available aftermarket.

I think the mirror blinker has already been available (maybe standard) in some international markets for their safety regulations. I actually remember someone on the forums retrofitting those mirrors and some rear fog lights to their rear bumper. Did this source for that pic specifically say US models?

Edit; I just checked the jeep build site for the 2022 JT trims, and it does look like half the trims do show the mirror blinkers... but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to which have them, especially since the standard images of the overland/rubicons don't have them... weird.

They're standard on the High Altitude trims now, at least as far as the JL goes

You can wire these however you please. They provide 3 wires: 1 ground, and a lead for each of the amber and white lights. I plan to wire the amber to my blinker so they blink with them, and then wire the white to my courtesy lights so they turn on when I unlock my JT. You could also wire the white or amber to a switch so they just turn on whenever you decide to switch them on, which could be great for camp/work scene lights.

I would like your opinion. I have attached a PDF of the wiring as I understand it for my '18 JL Sport, no LED package which means no factory DRL. The PDFs are from the wiring diagrams available elsewhere on this site. Let me know if I'm close. Thanks.

Has anyone been able to find/access the turn/running light harnesses within the engine bay itself, without removing the fender (liner)? (he asks without going to pop the hood himself...)

I've reviewed as many videos as I can find and it appears the needed connectors are tucked behind the liner/fender. At least that is how it seems to me.

Nope. (he answers without ever looking since he dropped the fender and would be inconsolable if he found an easier way.....)

Installed some cheap ones from Amazon today with new fenders. Just wired them as turn signals as they’re pretty bright.

You can access the wiring harness on the driver side, but the one on the passenger side is inaccessible due to the battery and fuse box.

An update on my install, I got the DRL portion of this light wired to a switch on my trigger six shooter wireless switch system. One of the lights quit working after less than six hours. I have ordered a replacement from Amazon that should be here sometime this week. The turn signals are working fine on both, and I checked all my power connections to make sure that power was still going to the light itself. Fortunately I ordered additional fender clips so I won’t have to wait on those as well.

if you do not have the DRL and LED package on your Jeep, your best bet would be to use a MicroFuse tap in tap in to fuse number 56 or 57 to run the DRL portion of this light.

Installed today, could not get the DRL to work, but I didn’t really care about that anyway. The turn signals are cool though..

make sure to buy extra clips, you will break some off when removing the fenders. I recommend getting at least 10.

GemPro Side Marker Light LED... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HKGN1WM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I ended up wiring the DRL to a switch on my Trigger Six Shooter plus so I could turn them on/off whenever I wanted to.

Another note, I had to replace the drivers side because the DRL (White) light failed after less than 2 hours of usage and only 12 hours on the Jeep...

That one looks a bit different. Can you share a link to which one you bought?

Can anyone tell me if the sidetracks (and the other versions) could be blinding to other vehicles? Hard to tell thru videos but light seems very strong - especially to those in other lanes with their nose level with the jeep back seats.
Really cool product and I wanted to check.

Has anyone noticed an issue blinding other drivers?

The ones I installed are somewhat bright, but not nearly enough to be "blinding" to other drivers... I did put the white light on a switch in case it was a problem though.
