There's an aftermarket device called a Bolt hood lock that can be installed in the center most grill insert to manually lock your hood down with a key. If you don't have that key lock or don't plan to install one, get the version without the hole for it.
More info with pics here...
I believe the issue stems from the manufacturing and paint process of the door/hinges. My understanding is that the hinge is bolted to the door and then that assembly gets painted. The problem with this is that there are now two unpainted aluminium surfaces mated together, and if the paint...
For what it's worth, the emergency tire plug kits you can buy at Walmart or local stores are meant to only be a temporary thing (their instructions all say this), and you're meant to still go to a tire shop to get a proper patch afterwards. Personally I'd just go to a tire shop and see what...
oofta... I like the new grill, but looks pretty terrible/out of place on this one. Wonder if it's going to be one of those things where it only looks good on a rubicon or one with a somewhat modified front end (ie steel bumper, winch, bull bar, etc.)
Anyone have much info on the updated blacked-out MOPAR LED headlights? I know the current ones are 82215136AE, but looking for the updated/revised part # if anyone has it? Pics below comparing the previous design to the new ones (second pic).
Note that both of these pics are of the driver side...
I see you're in Ohio; depending on what your county/city uses for winter road melt, that amount of surface rust could be completely normal. Try to frequent a touch less car wash with undercarriage spray on a day when the roads are dry to help clear off the salt/brine.
I'm fairly certain my 2020 JT Sport S (7" head unit) doesn't have any LTE connectivity for telemetrics. I believe the LTE is only on the 8.4" UConnect system which is also used for in-cabin WiFi, and that's why jeeps with that 8.4" head unit can get OTA software updates but ones with the lower...
The base (non max) ones are around $760 (including tax) at checkout during their now active "Tax Refund Sale", are you sure you didn't have the wrong ones in your cart? I checked on them a few times throughout the day, and I never saw irregular pricing you mention. That's not to say it didn't...
Did you recently route any aftermarket wires through the engine bay grommet hole on the driver side? I've seen people accidentally get water in the driver's side that way.
I realize this was probably just a typo, but glad you guys are staying committed to having these be truly plug and play without jscan. Once I see these working well for all users I'll be in line for a pair!
While most of that is true, it won't last forever without some major upkeep along the way. Things wear out and rot and that takes time and money.
Best argument for a newer one is safety. Crash tests may open your eyes as to how much better newer vehicles are designed. I still have my old 04 WJ...
There's zero chance this is a similar build comparison. $23k difference is WAY over what others have posted, especially comparing a '22 to '23. If it's true your dealership gave you a steal of a deal on your '22.
2020 Sport S JT that I got January 2020 (goodbye 3yr 36k warranty) was MSRP ~$45k but got with rebates for $38k, now $53k and no rebates. Yikes.
At least with new ones continuing to climb in price it just means all used values should also shift upward.
For what it's worth, I've seen posts from people who changed from halogen to LED who DIDN'T change the programming and say that their LED fogs just stop working after a while, not sure if it's the Jeep's electrical system burning out the LED lights or what, but I definitely had flickering until...
Chat with @JeepCares if your dealership is being difficult, this is a valid covered warranty claim and they should have no issues doing the work regardless of where in the US you bought it.
