New to the forums and first time Jeep owner. Purchased a new 2024 JLU Rubicon at the end of last year and just installed some Boost Auto mirrors with spot lights, reverse lights, marker lights, and sequential turn signals. Wire taps were provided with the mirrors to attach everything. I'm not worried about the spot lights and reverse lights because those will be going to the accessory switches. However, Boost Auto instructs you to use the wire taps for the markers and turn signals at a harnesses under the front fenders. I'm not a fan of wire taps and being from northern Ohio find this to be a terrible location. We tend to liberally salt our roads in winter and this would be a corrosion spot for a wire tap. Can anyone help with a different location where I could cut and solder or us a butt connector?

This is from the installation video. There isn't a whole lot of room there for a splice and I wouldn't want it that close to the connector. I don't plan on changing out the fenders, so I guess alternatively I could splice into the harness coming from the fender.

Fully agree, so I used these:

Same location, just goes between the plugs and provides the taps.
