Just got my ecodiesel. Love it. Odd that jeep didn't put a boost gauge anywhere. Best aftermarket solution?

Get one of the OBD scan tools. Several to choose from. They're all pretty good.

I personally use the Banks iDash gauge. I have 8 gauges reporting on mine. Boost, oil temp, trans temp, 3 exhaust temps, DPF soot level, and regen status.

I haven't used others but I'm sure someone else will talk about them.

I've noticed that with the tazer, what exactly does it mean or are you monitoring with the boost?

It will display the boost pressure on the dashboard, in that little center square that normally displays things like tire pressure, mpg meters, etc.

Nice!
Besides the cool factor (which I appreciate) is there a range to limit like oil pressure or engine temp.? Or is the higher the boost the better, if so, what is too high?

I'm defiantly a rookie with this one.

Understood. I was just wondering why Tazer would include boost when something much more critical could be displayed.
Why didn’t jeep give us more line of sight into our vehicle…but yea tazer could have done turbo temps s as well it would seem

Because it would give us yet another thing to freak out on and have countless forum threads about even though the nannies will de-rate or shut you down before anything bad happens. Nobody cares when it is a dumby gauge and it reads the temp is normal, but put an actual number to it and all hell will breaks lose even when we still have a dumby gauge that reads normal. Sometimes the less information to the mechanically declined general user, the better for less headaches.

Except, of course, that you need to let the turbo cool down before shutting off the engine. That "dumby gauge" would take the guesswork out of that.
