@813 Fabrication & Design The 4xe doesn’t use the same firewall bolts as the JL / JT unfortunately…. The mounting bracket would need to be modified as the top center hole is about 2” higher than the normal JL and appears that there is another they tap into about 5“ to the right. No one with US fabrication has solved this for the 4xe…only viable options are Chinese made….sadly.

’thanks for taking a look at it.

You will need to find one that mounts from the side, I believe the MOOR pedal may work. The 4xe does not have the bolt coming through the firewall used on a design like ours.
Love it when one manufacturer recommends another. Kudos, 813! Just goes to show that they value the individual user's needs over their own profits...

813's products will be a "first-search" product to me over many others because of this.

Wow! Thanks. I do it every day. I have no desire to be the best, just to be the best at what I do. I try to make high-quality parts and give the best service possible. I tell customers "I sell you customer service, you just get cool parts along with it!" I recommend other companies all the time. If someone asks me if I make a specific product and I don't have what they need I send them to the companies that have it, but only if I think it is a good product. Sadly, a person associated with one of those companies bashed me on social media, yet I still recommend their products because I like the designs and feel they are well though out. Its just who I am! ?

Any thoughts on a Right Hand Drive rest (dead) pedal ?
There are so few built. so therefore little demand. ou will probably need to design and fabiricate one one your own. If you don't have or use a welder, you can try a few designs made out of cardbord, then take the best one to a fabricator and have it built.

Are RH really that rare? I literally see one every day, or at least every week, passing me on my way into town. It's always the same one. Maybe it's a Unicorn...

JLs? I’ve seen way more RHD JKs. But all in all, there have been very few made compared to LHD. Used ones are cheap. They are a pain to drive due to difficult sight lines when trying to make a left turn against oncoming traffic. Usually only mail delivery contractors buy them in North America.

Take a look at the Dead Pedal I designed. Made from 1/8" aluminum, so it is beefy! Simple install, all you need to do is remove the firewall bolt, put the pedal in place and replace the bolt. The pedal lifts out of the way for floor mat removal. The best feature of the pedal... I have two optional switches that mount in the pedal. The "Old School" floor dimmer switch or a momentary switch. I use the floor dimmer switch in my JL and JT and have it controlling a set of off-road lights. It makes the ultimate backroad high beam switch. No more fumbling trying to find a button to push while driving, just click the switch with your foot. The momentary switch was an option I added for customers looking for a way to control items such as a train horn.

Ordered this with the momentary switch. Arrived today. Solid pedal. Installed it tonight. Quick install. The wiring of the switch to my electronic air horn took the longest. Makes using the air horn so much easier. This was the perfect answer to my need.

I went with a cheap one from extreme terrain. It seems to be working ok. As far as the best dead pedal......?

I haven't seen the install instructions for either the Quadratec or the M.O.R.E. dead pedals. What is there about the M.O.R.E. pedal that causes it to be so difficult to mount? Said another way, why can't M.O.R.E. use a Quadratec-like mounting point. Every man/woman/child who has bought a M.O.R.E. has complained about the install. Are the M.O.R.E. manufacturers gluttons for punishment, or is there a actual reason why it needs to be so hard to install?

Help me, because this seems like a true no-brainer. It seems like M.O.R.E. taking a routine pop fly and turning it into a circus catch.

You make a great point. The older I get I love simplicity! I don't highly recommend the dead pedal I bought but I can say the install was stupid simple and it is fully adjustable, but I get the impression if could bend if too much weight is applied. For $21.99 a simple fix to add a plate behind it if you have something laying around to beef it up which is what I will do if it does bend.

Best of luck in your decision buddy.

Oh wow! I didn't know about this. The old school on/off switch on the dead pedal = ingenious!!!

This would be awesome on a set of spotlights! If someone doesn't turn off their high beams, they're in trouble! ?

I can see the future for my next mod.

HAHA! Exactly. I have mine connected to two Baja Designs LP6s. They make one hell of a high beam for backroad driving!
