The M.O.R.E. (and a few others like it) mounts to a factory bracket with holes on the left side of the footwell just above the plastic trim and requires inserting another bracket and 2 bolts through that bracket from the backside. This setup seems a lot harder to reach (and to see), and that pedal's bracket and bolts are known to get dropped while fumbling with the install from the other side causing them to fall down in behind the factory plastic trim. Hence the suggestions for using tape, zip ties and string or fishing line to temporarily secure it.I haven't seen the install instructions for either the Quadratec or the M.O.R.E. dead pedals. What is there about the M.O.R.E. pedal that causes it to be so difficult to mount? Said another way, why can't M.O.R.E. use a Quadratec-like mounting point. Every man/woman/child who has bought a M.O.R.E. has complained about the install. Are the M.O.R.E. manufacturers gluttons for punishment, or is there a actual reason why it needs to be so hard to install?
Help me, because this seems like a true no-brainer. It seems like M.O.R.E. taking a routine pop fly and turning it into a circus catch.
The reason for this mounting method still being popular might have a few reasons. Some of the Quadratec-style pedals that mount to a single bolt on the firewall are known to swivel on that bolt if the nut loosens up, getting stuck behind the brake pedal, which obviously can be very dangerous (haven't seen this as a complaint with the QT pedal, but with others like it). Some variations, like the DV8 pedal uses a larger bracket that instead mounts on 2 firewall bolts, which addresses any possible rotation. Lastly, the 4xe (and possibly the 392) have the leftmost firewall bolt much higher up, so only a M.O.R.E.-style mounting method would be compatible.
And maybe a non-issue, but that area of the firewall appears to be a large section of plastic with bolts protruding through. I'm sure the bolt itself is very sturdy, but I'm really not sure if the plastic was designed to have 200lbs of leverage pushing a metal bracket into it like that. The M.O.R.E.-style mount is only metal on metal, though I'm guessing that neither the left-side metal bracket or the plastic firewall shield were ever intended to hang shit off of with any weight or force.
Tldr; the Quadratec pedals don't fit the 4xe and maybe other reasons.

I work for the Post Office, and used to teach people how to drive RHD vehicles. It's not that hard- just a short learning curve. The left-turn blind for oncoming traffic that you mentioned is an issue, but it just takes a little more patience to wait until you can see the way is clear.
