I bought the OTC 7249 starter kit (no adapters) then bought the jeep adapter kit 7894. This tool seems to have gone way up since I bought it about 4 years ago. But, it's US made and did what I needed at the time. You can buy some good Chinese stuff to do the same thing for a fraction of the price today. Or, just go down to the local Autozone and borrow their stuff. Seems like I did that and it didn't have the correct adapters.

Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark.

Makes you think about your product choices.

did you found that the 7894 was still missing a little angle to properly match the upper C angle ?

I really can't recall. It's been 4 years now. But there is an angled anvil in there.

As I mentioned used it on a JK and it was missing a little of angle so reverted back to the original kit cup and some washer as shim. So was wondering if it was a user error or a part error :like:

There is one in the kit. But im not above modifying a tool. The end goal is not the tool, but the repair. When I was a young machinist, i was asked to figure out how to remachine a small flange welded on a 50 foot long 36 inch pipe. I took the head and ram off a Bridgeport mill and mounted it to the pipe.

So, I searched back through our amazon purchases. I was mistaken with the jeep adapter. It turns out I found a no-name chi-com cup set. Back then, I don't think there were many choices for that angled jeep/ram cup. Now there are a lot of brands.
