I find that every car forum is the same. You get the full spectrum. You get a few of high posters that just are miserable people and complain to complain. Others with valid points and others that treat the forum like church and won’t participate anything but positive.

You have to have a good filter and just know what to trust as truth.

pin general folks join forums to find issues for problems.

Unfortunately the negative get brought up where the good often remains silent.

For example I just had a wonderful 1 hour drive with my son where we had a good talk about the birds and the bees and what he wants to do when he grows up. A 10 out of 10 chat. All good. Happened in my JL with the top down.
Considering you are 55 and your son is 25 , Id say its about time.;)

That was funny!

There are a few things I dont like about my jeep, but overall it is pretty darn good. Nothing is perfect and I will point out what isnt AND what is.

Something to consider is that a forum post is a snapshot in time that lasts forever. If I have a bad day, am annoyed or unhappy about something with my vehicle and make a post, there it will remain until I or the forum moderators delete it. I think it's fair to say that we all have those moments. Sometimes after a period of cooling off or reflection, we change our minds. Unfortunately, you may read that post days, months, or years later and think that I hate Jeep when infact, 99% of the time I am fine with them. Multiply that by every poster on the the forum and you end up with your perception of constant hate and bad mouthing.

Because jeeps really are Great Crappy vehicles honestly. It’s not the JEEP concept or design. It’s the company behind them that sucks ass. They really are at the bottom of the list when it comes to customer services, Parts, and Reliability and that’s a fact. HOwever I love mine!!

Every vehicle forum is the same. 4 wheels, 2 wheels, boats, planes. I’ve seen people hate on one brand of Japanese sport bike while adoring another. Not a particular model for a particular reason mind you, but just a brand/color scheme. Blind lovers and blind haters.

It’s the same reason people put the stickers on their vehicles of Calvin pissing on a Ford (or Chevy) symbol.

Hasn't been my experience at all. No more or less reliable than any other make I've owned. Sounds like you've rated every aspect of their organization as subpar. I guess I've been lucky.

that’s how I felt until Friday when my instrument cluster died at 16,000 miles. Back ordered part now they put Me in a fking dodge caravan for at minimum a week. I’ve had fords, GM, Nissan and Toyota’s and not one has ever left me without it more than a day. Yes they all have issues but the JL seems to have big issues.

Depends on the validity of the complaint.

I see some people that whine and complain about everything or nothing. The complaints usually sound something like my Porsche has such and such and why doesn't the Wrangler....

Other complaints are true concerns and issues FCA needs to address. Steering, quality control, pricing, etc.
My Porsche has a rear engine...what's up with Jeep?

Just my observation, but Jeep seems to be providing a lot of material for badmouthing.

Comparing the quality of design/manufacture to a Ford or GM, which I'm very familiar with, my Jeep is at the bottom of the pile by a long shot.

Still, I like it for what it is.

All good @RubenZ. God only knows. It happened on that one day and seems to have been a phantom issue. No sign of those 9's. Good keeping an eye out though!
Says the one with the 999,999 mile odometer issue. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/this-happened-999999-miles.43529/

Thats how it started and now I have a dead Cluster. The Re-Flash didn't fix it. GOod luck to you. There’s not ETA on my replacement cluster. Like I said I love my Jeep but I’m not going to pretend they don't have issues.

Agreed! JD Power's pp100 has us at 15th in line I think. Time will tell I guess in my case. I apologize for my BS to all
