My suggestion was not to ask Toyota to fix it , nor for you to purchase a Toyota camera , but to see how it ought to look . You want wide view Cinerama , not squeezed into a skinny view alley .Why Toyota, this is a Jeep forum and I have a 2018 JL Wrangler. There is a problem with the camera that is causing the narrow field of view. I have already taken it to the dealer who told me they are waiting on a software update.
My suggestion was merely an opportunity for you to compare . Myself , I don't need any back up camera , and I think it is a waste of money . I have two eyes and three mirrors . And if I back into a Bentley or a Rolls , I will feel the bump , lol .
I have a Jeep for the engine and the strong capability , not for electronic gadgets , back up camera , infotainment , nor blue teeth . The Army will never name a military vehicle a "Microsoft " "Big Strongware" is better than "Micro software" anyday . lol .
