I recently purchased a 2019 Rubicon JLU. It has a warning icon on the dash for the Auto Start/Stop. So Google of course generated lots of info on disconnecting batteries and moving battery terminals.
Does anyone know if the eliminator will work and not cause the dash warning?

That message on the dash is telling you that the AUX battery is shot. Always replace both batteries at the same time, or do the bypass. Not sure what you mean by "eliminator".

I’ve got an E-torque, so there is no auxiliary battery. But I started getting a warning when my main battery was failing. Replacing it fixed the issue.

Lord help me, I’m sorry. Not used to being on forums.
I appreciate everyone’s feedback. At this point what I’d like to know… is there a way to make the AutoStart seem to have never existed? I’ve read through some old posts at this point and I know people get irate about this subject.
I know things can be purchased to keep the system turned off so you don’t have to turn it off yourself all the time. Since that negates the need for the battery
If you remove the aux battery, and move terminals around, will the warning lights all go away?
I just want a clean dash with no alerts. If there’s a thread that points me to this please link it for me.

Thomas, do a forum search for aux battery delete. there are pages and pages of information available. It's not a hard thing to do, plus the reading will give you a better idea of how your Jeep works.
Also, learn the difference between the ESS with the aux, and the eTorque models. If you had an eTorque, you would not have the aux motorcycle battery.

If you remove the auxiliary battery, disconnect the terminal and remove the fuse the auto start/stop will still function, doing all those steps simply transfers the auto start/stop function to the main battery. I would think the light on the dash would go out at that point because the function would now be operational. You will still need to push the start/stop button to shut it off or leave alone so the system remains active.

One more thing to take a look at -
There are 2 Hood Open switches to the right (driver side) of the radiator top. One of the switches disables Stop/Start while the hood is open. If this switch is unplugged, Stop/Start will not work, and an amber alert will illuminate above the fuel gauge. This is how I disabled Stop/Start till I got a Tazer. With the Tazer, I set my Stop/Start to come up in the mode it was in when engine is shut off.

Edit: the switch that disables Stop/Start also could be bad, or could be adjusted downward enough to not be activated with the hood closed.

My friend pulled fuse F42 and disconnected the negative cable from the auxiliary battery and taped it up real well. Start stop still worked but does not use the auxiliary battery. You just have to purchase the auto start stop eliminator and set it in the off position and your done.

I use this device to reset the Start/Stop defeat automatically. I paid $40 a couple of months ago, now it’s $47. Cheaper than a Tazer if you don’t need any other functionality and it is easy to install under the dash without any trim disassembly.

The link shown goes to a general "4xe" search result, not a specific item. I assume you purchased something like this.

I did the eliminator for the wife's F-150, as defeating Stop/Start is all I wanted to do. I purchased the Tazer for the Jeep instead of an eliminator because the Tazer can do so much more. I guess it all depends on the end result you're looking for.

Hi! I'm still learning about my e-torque engine. When you say "main battery" are you referring to the lithium battery under the vehicle or the battery under the hood?

Yes, thanks for correcting the link!

Thank you all. This is all good info. I knew there had to be some basics to look at before I started really digging in. TBH… google searches and forum searches have been maddening. They either jump around the entire system and I still have questions or they focus on one small part and leave me wondering “but what about the other thing?” In the last few answers I feel like I can take the weekend and sort it all out.
After close to 15 years of waiting and searching, I finally have my mid-life crisis purchase and I never thought I would have one this nice so I plan to take good care of it.
Thank you all, again
