I believe that message is saying that it can't shut off because it would prevent it from being able to heat or cool your cabin temperature based on what settings you have selected for climate control.

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish. It's not working at all?

Note that you really should change both batteries at the same time if one of them goes bad. Many people simply disable the aux battery to mitigate the issues that it introduces.

Hey you need to unplug the cable that goes to the IBS. Intelligent battery sensor. Leave it unplugged for 10 minutes and plug it back in. It will clear your issue.

Are you wanting to disable the ASS all together ? If so many threads on this.

1. There are eliminators that have memory, so it remembers your last setting everytime you start the vehicle... so if you turn it off, it stays off until you turn it back on... there are no errors or dash lights with this option.

2. Delete the Aux battery. You will still get dash lights.

3. Delete the Aux battery and pull fuse 42. Some reported still getting lights and others have not.

This is just a brief description, however there is a lot of info out there on this.

I second changing BOTH batteries at the same time... or deleting the Aux all together.

I personally have the eliminator and have had zero issues with it, when I turn it on, my auto stop/start works.

Hope this helps.

For probably the first 10-15 minutes while the vehicle is warming up and getting your climate settings adjusted properly the start stop is not available

Depending on your settings, its not available after the warm up either... you can still get the error while driving, even after a long drive.

It will disable in various conditions.

1. If it needs to run the AC compressor or more heat in the exchanger
2. If your transmission is in M
3. If you've engaged it too many times in too short a period and the aux battery needs to charge
4. If the engine temps are low
and probably more I haven't discovered.
