I had a 2019 Moab that I got rid of in the first year because off how terrifying the steering was at higher speeds. I'm interested in the 4xe models... are the steering issues resolved?

I have a brand new 22 and I also feel its dangerous at 80mph. Mine seems to drift back and forth and just feels dangerous to me.

It's unfortunate that there still seems to be inconsistent build quality from Jeep. My 2022 2 door tracks dead straight at 75 with a pinky on the wheel. It's no sedan, but it's shockingly close (I've had solid axles Jeeps before). While I'm exceedingly pleased that I got lucky, this ought to be the norm for every JL.

My 2018 JLUR is fine. It’s clearly not a sports car, but it’s not at all scary or uncomfortable at any speed. It’s even got the original steering box on it.

22' JLR, when I was driving it home from the dealership it was acting very strange at highway speeds. Front and back end where swaying back and forth and it felt very out of control. This continued for some time. Read lots of theory's on the internet from tire pressure to high too needs longer lower control arms.... As I continued to drive it got better and better and by 10K miles I realized it was no longer an issue. Have not made any modifications to the Jeep other than run the tire pressure slightly be below the recommended 37psi, usually around 35 psi cold tire pressure. Not sure if the suspension was stiff and needed to be broken in or the tires needed wear or what, but it drives fine now. Take it on road trips all the time and enjoying it.

I have a 2023 and I was expecting it to be awful after everything I’ve read. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well it drives. No issues that I’ve noticed, just slightly more play in it, but barely.
Echo this - I got a 4xe rubi and was afraid it’d be hell in the highway… but even when driving it back to back with my Volvo XC60 T8 the difference isn’t that much. I feel mostly (i) the waaaaay too soft suspension on the Volvo and (ii) the street vs AT tires when cornering and braking.

I even have an ExactCenter stabilizer in the garage for the jeep, and haven’t felt the rush to install it yet (will do as soon as a buddy comes over).

I'm in the same boat. I'm putting my lift on next week and I have a Fox TS stabilizer. As I've driven the 4xe, I haven't seen any reason that I need it, and I'm running it on 37's right now. I've had it in the garage for months waiting on my Jeep and it looks cool, so I'll put it on, but I can honestly say that it drives smooth with the stock setup.

No issues here so far. I daily drive mine on highway 75-95 mph.

My ‘22 High Tide tracks straight as an arrow, zero steering issues low or high speed. Drove with speedo locked in at 85 for 2 hrs straight today on a tollwway and could literally let go of wheel and or steer left to right with pinky also. And I’m running the 35’s at 39psi. And for comparison we had an 06, 13, 16, two 18’s and now the 22. Only bugger steering wise was the two door early gen1 2018.

2022 JLUR. Can steer with one finger on the highway. Speeds can sneak up to 80mph and I don’t notice any difference.

To the OP.
So clearly its a crap shoot. You might get one with nice tight steering. You might get one with a lot of looseness. Either way it will probably be much better than your old Jeep.

Steering issues aren't universal. My 2018 steers perfectly with zero play in the wheel. I can go hands off for at least a 1/4 mile or more with no need to correct, even on 37's and beadlocks.
