Maybe these are how Jeep tracks the units to the dealers to provide delivery ETA'S. 😲

Under the dash connected inline with the OBD2 port.
I was installing a "dead pedal" and noticed a harness hanging down. After investigation well... here we are.

I’ve gotta go check my Jeep now. This is creepy stuff here.

Found this under the dash today. Only had the Jeep about 2 weeks. It connects inline with the OBDII port.
Anyone else found one? Should I put it back? Put it in the neighbors car?...

Here is mine, found it when installing my Taser JL Mini, tucked in above the Data Link connector. And tapped into the power wire for it. Not too concerned about it, I think it was no longer activated.
The other thing I found today mounted to the bottom of the center panel below the steering wheel, while installing my Dual Front Trail Cams is the push button thingy with the pull out contact, it has a 3 wire connector. Wiring goes into the center console area, haven't tracked it to its destination yet. I think it has something to do with the tracker, just not sure what it purpose or function is.

I ripped away part of my Tundra's driver side trim and all I could see was a couple of harnesses to the OBDII. I thought I felt a fuse but it ended up just being a wire connection. One harness leads to the airbag under the wheel, and the other ran off to the firewall. Maybe it's a JeepThing™.

It is more than likely related to Jeep's version of "on star" I have it in my 2021 Wrangler. The good thing is if you have an emergency and you are in the middle of nowhere help can find you. If you ever need it you will be glad it is there.

What if you bought the Jeep outright. Would that be a privacy violation of some sort if the GPS tracker was left working in the Jeep?
